Maybe its just me being a Soul Calibur fan but I just can't seem to picture Cerventes (sic) like the fanfic describes him. I picture him more so as the Cervantes from the game series which results in some serious need for brain bleach... Then again, this is the same fanfic that has Samus dating a dragon space pirate thing so maybe that's why...
