  • I love these old machines. The just work and work!

  • The reason it's only using half the blade is because the piece in the vise is small, if I where to put a large piece of tubing for example in the vise then it would have enough blade available to cut that far back from the forward part of the vise. Comprende' my son?

  • It's only using half the blade, what kind of a inadequate design is that?

Or is there a reason that I can't fathom?

  • Ahhh. Should it also say, "running on earth ". It's sitting on the earth ain't it. : )

  • @CONTALTDELETE Well... itz sorta like majik I supose...my son, my son.

  • Looks just like mine...most likely made by Atlas for Sears.

Is the weight on yours lead? Could you weigh it and tell me the weight?..I need to make one up for mine... I had that exact same motor on a Delta/Homecraft scroll saw that I had at one time...it had no tag..wonder if it's from an old washing machine?

  • @pv74 The weight is cast iron, I'll remove it today and weigh it and get back to you.

  • @pv74 Hi,I removed the weight and checked it, it's cast iron alright and weighs 3.5 lbs. XXX.

  • Nice. Why does it say "running on air". Looks like an electric motor to me.

  • @CONTALTDELETE Well... the motor is air cooled ain't it??
