  • I got addicted to geodon and I needed more and more of it. Eventually, it made me sleep 22 hours a day and I have been on it 3 or 4 times and every time had HORRIBLE withdrawls which doctors thought was all in my head. The last time I was on it I suffered a horrid reaction in which I had seizure like symptoms, paralysis, and weird personality changes? :| It scares me. It made all of my anxiety go away but I kept needing more and more because I was addicted...

  • @xxneondinosaur i agree with the horrible withdrawal symptoms. i felt like i was dying and went to the hospital where i was released only after 2 hours.

  • i am taken 80mg at nite and it help me out i goes through withdraw sometimes

  • I wish you could take a mixed states and rapid cycling. My diagnosis is very recent for BP1. I feel like my moods changes pretty often but sometimes it has to do with my own self medicating with caffeine and sugary foods. I have been on Geodon for 3 weeks and my insomnia seems to get worse! My inner rage is less and my compulsive eating is gone, sleep in important though and I am on ambien. In the past I used to drink more cafeeine and sugary foods, never notice mania wish I was normal :(

  • Thanks I just started Geodon, 20mg twice daily for BP. I believe I need some meds as I had some serious mental health issues. But I am going to supplement with CBT as I have some bad thought patterns. Wish you the best.

  • I attached my story to your entry as a video reply

  • you are rather inspiring rather you know it or not. i am bipolar 1 rapid cycling.. and im on geodon 80mg twice a day amongst other mood stabilizers and people just never realize what a toll it takes on your body.. its just so much and for me its hard to pick whats better.. being off my medicine or being on it.. of course everyone around me choses the meds. but me ... i just dont know anymore..

  • I hate geodon. I'm on it and I hate how I feel so depressed and not motivated while on it. I'm into fitness but it made me not into fitness and other things that I'm into. I'm switching my meds next thursday thank God because I'm not myself on geodon. I have ADHD but my dumb psychiatrist diagnosed me as bipolar because he doesn't believe in ADHD.

  • Did you abruptly stop taking Geodon or did your doctor wean you from it? I'm on Geodon and switching to new insurance that does not cover Geodon so looks like I will be changing meds.

  • I was misdiagnosed as being bipolar. I had D.I.D., P.T.S.D., T.B.I., and epilepsy. But, I was on Geodone for a year. It decreased my paranoia fabulously. It also increased my anxiety gradually to an extreme degree. I wouldn't tolerate the anxiety, so I went off it. With my withdrawal, the EXTREMELY PAINFUL anxiety increased. I couldn't see or move well for a couple of days. I just stared toward the TV. It was weird and painful. Fortunately, my paranoia didn't return like it was.

  • WOW this is a very good video, Geodon made me feel weird for some reason, Risperdal gave me the worse nightmares, Great vid

  • Thanks. I felt great on Geodon but the withdrawal symptoms were so terrible. I was sick for 2 weeks coming off of it.

  • I'm glad to see you. I'm having problems with residual symptoms and I get to see an occupational therapist. I hope it works out for us both.

    Thanks for the posting.
