@faissalinho Thanks. I kind of want this gutiar but too many people have bad sounding strings, I use Martin and Elixirs which sound amazing, but hate D'Adario. :P How well do you think this gutiar plays? How's the neck compare to a Martin dreadnought?
@Songwriter4God well, it depends on the size of your left hand actually. This Yamaha has a very narrow neck compared to a Martin dreadnought, you can like it or not. I like it personally even if I have big hands lol.
But the Yamaha hasn't the poweful sound of the Martin.
@faissalinho Hmm, hopefully one of the music stores around us will get one then, anything you can compare it to? An Ibanez acoustic maybe? Breedlove? Taylor?
your right on the whole opinion thing most of the times its opinions we don't want to hear but have to tolerate unfortunately very nice playin and very nice guitar Im strongly considering either this or a takamine havent made up my mind yet but your review has helped me a lot thank you friend!)
hey do you think this guitar will be okay for a girl to play? I'm worried with the size of the neck since I have another yamaha here that has huge neck for my hand... and people say yamahas have pretty high action, compared to my other guitar option which is an ibanez AEG8E. I've actually chosen this yamaha, but what can you suggest between those two guitars for a girl to use?
hi this was helpful i'm planning to get this, a fender sonoran or a cort mr710, really don't what to choose because i live in an italian small town and can't try any of them... do you have some suggestions my bugdet is up to 320 euros....
@ivncdo0809 Hi man. I think that the Cort has a very comfortable neck, a good quality preamp and that's not a basic Cort model because it has a beautiful finish and reliable.
With your budget, I would definetely choose a Cort.
@nvrmindJD I don't know if the sound is better or not but they have no distorsion that's for sure! But if you don't use any electric guitar, this kind of amp should be more apropriated (in my humble opinion)
Well, I played on a APX500, but the body is thinner than the CPX500, the amplifier takes more place, so the sound is very poor. The CPX 500 is a very cool guitar and I like the finition. Don't change your mind!
@faissalinho is a CPX a Concert Guitar and a APX a Western Guitar? Is this the different, because i ordered today a APX 500 but i am not sure where are the different is :-)
the cpx is considered as a grand concert and the apx is thinner . The apx is better with an amp. The sound of the cpx is deeper and more powerful because of the thickness of the body.
The APX is a lot brighter and clearer. Like he said it is thinner and it does sound better plugged in. The bass is a little weak but its not bad. Both guitars are as good as each other, It really depends on your style and what kind of music you will be playing with your guitar.

Songwriter4God 7 months ago
@Songwriter4God You can compare it to an Ibanez AEL series and it costs around the same price... if you're lucky, you can get one cheaper.
Taylor and Breedlove aren't in the same price range.
But it depends on your budget, how much money you wanna put on the table :)
faissalinho 7 months ago
@faissalinho I mean the neck, what kind of gutiar is it most similar to?
Songwriter4God 7 months ago
@Songwriter4God well, as I said earlier, the most similar is the Ibanez AEL...in my humble opinion.

@imfxxnmagicdude Hey.
Firstly, thanks for the comment, I really appreciate that :)
You don't have to worry about the size of the CPX's neck . This one has a very narrow neck. They look like Taylor's necks, except for the quality.

ok, I use a line 6 for my burns red special.
So acoustic amplifiers are just for the extra touch or something?

Hey do you need a special amp for this type of guitars?
nvrmindJD 1 year ago
@nvrmindJD hey, there are some features built for acoustic guitars but I use a basic Marshall amp for both guitars and it works well!
