From a Melbourne perspective, DFO are hardly worth getting excited about. To entice major retailers to open up down there requires a larger population, which sadly, Hobart clearly doesn't have. Support Myers.
I am watchin this footage from home in Brisbane! It is absolutely horiffic! To think that I have friends who have worked in Myer Hobart and the times that I have been in there from growing up in Hobart. A real sad day for retailers in Hobart.Best wishes to all...
Incredible timing-wasn't there an international firies conference in Hobart this last week? Was this the field trip?? Hugely sad for all-hope Myer has its business continuity plans in order.
Christ, we're talking the shutdown of half the CBD, people out of pocket and 50 million dollars in damages, and all you can worry about is your laybys? I am quite sure Myer will put something in place to replace or refund laysys.
smelled great once it hit the marshmallow department!

All the clothes and footwear they sell at Myer were worth burning anyway. Not to mention exorbitant costs
Hobart has little range, variety when it comes to clothing and footwear.
They need more big and major retailers down here.
Who knows when that DFO will open.
