Is it not a small school approved science experiment, which leaves no burns, & optional for 8th grade? Is it not within education to teach all the theories concerning the history of the human race? For those who believe in God, is teaching something against their religion itself, violating their rights? Both theories should be taught because they are both theories. Because you are not religious, does it mean you can obstruct, or teach your own beliefs and not, the others? Isn't it equal rights?
@SeekTruthinLight No one should use a device that burns students period. Religions are not science, and have no theories... they have beliefs. Religion is taught in religious studies classes, not science classes. The teaching, or not, of religion does not violate one's rights. Strange, most xians do not believe in "equal rights" for they give equal rights to homosexuals as well. Too bad you did not pay attention in your government class as well. Teach religion at home, not in public schools.
I actually went to Mt. Vernon Middle School, although that was over ten years ago. I personally didn't have Freshwater's class, so I never really experienced any of that madness firsthand.
Things here in Mt. Vernon were a little ridiculous for a while with protests and the usual "he ain't doing nothin wrong' crap from the idiots.
There was even a sign on the edge of town that read "If the Bible goes, the school board should follow." Believe me, I wanted to kick it down a few times myself.
This crazy fucker was a science teacher!?!?! No fucking wonder kids don't accept evolution in this country. Maybe I should become a science teacher, level the playing field.
Yeah, if I was one of those kids parents I would have some "freedom of speech" for this sick fuck in the form of sign language...I would him for a week to ten days with a stop sigh post.

Maybe you should have wore a t shirt that read "I survived Freshwater's class unburned!"
or,
"Our kids here in Mt. Vernon are god's BRAND!"
Some shit like that.

If a teacher burn my child on purpose, a cross or otherwise, you better bet he would not make it to his/her car that day.

My friend sent me the article. He entitled it "Gimme some o that ol' timey education."

lol, lucky the kids did not get stoned...and I do not mean with drugs!

Maybe he thought the cross was his freedom of expression. The new buzz words for fundies is "Freedom of speech."

What is a "high frequency generator"? Using it to burn images on skin doesn't sound very safe, no matter what shapes they are.
Also, how long do you think it will take before the religious right wails and gnashes teeth over his "persecution"?
mordredt02 3 years ago
The High Frequency Generator in question is a type of welder.
messiahjonz 3 years ago
Oh, and who gives a fuck about his persecution. If they want to back a child abuser, let them get in line.
