@warrengonline Most of the stuff they were talking about was basic and I had to turn up my volume to hear them talk and in the end all I kept hearing was the characters over lapping the commentators voice. This would be good for beginners but a lot of stuff they said shouldn't even matter unless your into a bunch of fighting games then that's a different story

The PSX port and all other ports are made from the original arcade rom, not the 3DO port. In fact, the 3DO port looks slightly pixalated compared to the PSX version.

@TwighlightMist Yes it was made from the ground up. It IS missing some frames and some moves (even though I do not want to admit that). It is still an awesome game as it was the ONLY Street Fighter game on 3DO and the ONLY version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo on ANY home console at the time of release.

The game you said was Fatal Bout. The name of the game is Fatal Fury (SNK 1992). There is another game called Real Bout Fatal Fury (SNK 1995).

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection somewhat mixes-up the characters, levels, gameplay and graphics. It like the Third Strike game, but to play: Standard Hyper Fighting, Super and Champion Edition is belittling, Champion Edition rules the game.

My cousin used to have a 3DO, and two of the games I liked most on it, besides Gex, was the near-arcade perfect ports that were Samurai Showdown and Super Turbo. Only problem is that 3DO pad only had three buttons, and I can't remember if there were ever any 6 button pads for that console made to play ST properly.

HokageIzlude, yes, Gex was one of the best games too along with Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Samurai Shodown. And yes, at first there was a funky 6-button controller - it was shown in part one of this 3 part video. There was also another 6 button controller released, but only super hardcore player could find it and order it. I myself found some on ebay last year, but did not purchase them.

Oh badass, so the 3DO did get some 6 button controllers, thats good. When I had SF2 SCE on the Genesis, nothing was more annoying that hitting start to switch between Punches and Kicks. It just forced me to rely on characters like Honda, Chun-Li and Blanka that had those button mashing and charge moves (Balrog was top choice too). Then one Christmas I was bestowed with Sega's official 6 button arcade stick, and it was made of win. Wish I still had that thing...

I totally skipped Sega's version(s) of Street Fighter II just to turn around to play the exclusive Street Fighter Champion Edition. Pressing Start to switch was VERY annoying. Did you ever play Eternal Champions? Talk about annoying!!!

Yeah I played Eternal Champions, was very hard for me to play until I got my hands on that stick. Sadly I never got to play the Sega-CD version/sequel. :(

I have the cartridge for the Sega CDX, but I do not play it. i was about the buy the Sega CD version just for the 3D movies, but decided to wait. That game is still difficult with the 6-button pad. Remember Shadow Dancer's flipkicks?

I would say play it on 3DO, but you can get a 'version' of the game on Xbox (playable on Xbox360) in the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. Though it looks somewhat the same, it doesn't feel the same.

Who are you playing with? Chun Li is a good cheap, pick-up and go character. Learn her, then Blanka, THEN move onto Ryu, Ken, Guile and E.Honda. Dhalsim will be a challenge. Remember, attack, attack, block, jump-attack, land, block low, projectile, block, attack. Something like that. You need skills!
