  • My MIDDLE SCHOOL choir sang this song and it sounded better

  • Eh its alright....just really to fast.

  • this is the description on the bottom of the song "this song was by the women of Bethlehemin the play, just before herod's soldiers come in to slaughter their children" i also wonder why the word slay is a major chord.....

  • misguided maybe.

  • this is bad. sorry.

  • waaaay toooo fast!!!

  • its way too fast

  • Yes it is too fast. This is a lullaby for a child destined for a life of pain and an early death. (I am an atheist btw). It needs to be slow and the chords need to hang in the air. It is a beautiful song and should rend the heart.

  • spot on! proving once again that an atheist can still appreciate the artistry involved without having to believe the Xmas story.

  • Beautiful, to fast though.

  • nice butt its a bit fasst! :o

  • im doin a version of this for my concert:P

  • Beautiful voices, Tempo ??

  • OMG it's indeed not a birthday happy song

  • You are lamenting the death of your baby, lets try to slow the tempo to acknowledge the emotion of the piece.

  • pieces can be perfomed based on the feeling of the director but taking it that fast was not a very smart decision based on the calibar of the song

  • i agree with sketchers356 100% the deep emotion of the song has been lost by the tempo this is a very emotional piece containing alot of depth and it has been lost in this but i will say that they are fantastic and with a tempo adjustment they would be fantastic

  • beautiful

  • Excellent...they hit all the notes perfectly!

  • I was trying to work out which country they were from - but now I see that it's from Spain. We used to sing it at this pace . . . and especially the verse about Herod. Really good!

  • Well done. really enjoyed it.

  • I don't really care for this when its that fast. I love the song though and it was sung rather well. I just don't think you can catch and enjoy all the chords when it's sung that fast.

  • Amazing sound! Absolutely beautiful. well done!

  • sounds great frast and frantic...nevermind the naysayers...march to your own damn spirit...well done!

  • i played this in my orchestra...very fun...but we went much slower.

    but sounds good

  • way too fast

  • Very nicely sang.. but its too fast and frantic!!

  • lol we sang that at our choir concert today! (12/10/07) i loved it its the best song we have sang but we sang it alot slower and we said " lu le lu la" not " lu le lu lay"! im in middle school, so to you peoples mite not think it sounds that great! lolz

  • there are several different versions of how to say it...lully lallu, lully lullay... it's all old english "lullaby". old english people were weird...but cool.
