Like she can summon hurricanes, thunderstorms, blizzards, and tornadoes in a snap but afterwards she either gets knocked out or she just is so exhausted that she can't fight anymore. I have yet to watch the anime and I've heard more than once how Storm is weak in the series. That fact alone makes me cautious to even give the show a try. Can she up the ante with Phoenix? No, but Storm is incredibly powerful being in touch with the elements and for such a popular character to be downgraded in anyway at all makes me weary of even going anywhere near the anime. I think I'll just stick to the US dvds I own just so my view of Storm isn't tarnished. =/ Thanks for this vid man.
Storm is an Omega-level mutant. However, that being said; her body doesn't rate high on the dexterity charts. Her powers are controlled through her willpower, and how much stress she can put her body through. Since her emotions tend to get the better of her most of the time, she has issues maintaining a solid state of mind, and body 50% of the time...which is why she tends to look so weak as a character. Giving her that 'respect for human life', is what makes her a good person,-

I have yet to watch the anime and I've heard more than once how Storm is weak in the series. That fact alone makes me cautious to even give the show a try. Can she up the ante with Phoenix? No, but Storm is incredibly powerful being in touch with the elements and for such a popular character to be downgraded in anyway at all makes me weary of even going anywhere near the anime. I think I'll just stick to the US dvds I own just so my view of Storm isn't tarnished. =/ Thanks for this vid man.

Storm is an Omega-level mutant. However, that being said; her body doesn't rate high on the dexterity charts. Her powers are controlled through her willpower, and how much stress she can put her body through. Since her emotions tend to get the better of her most of the time, she has issues maintaining a solid state of mind, and body 50% of the time...which is why she tends to look so weak as a character. Giving her that 'respect for human life', is what makes her a good person,-

I mean you first said her powers weren't unlimited, and now you're telling me her powers are unlimited. So which is it? Jean Grey isn't dead, she ascended, and hasn't come back yet. Jean Grey is dead in the movies...but no fan in their right mind would acknowledge that those films are any good to begin with.

@HarukaxMichiru Well said. However that still doesn't explain the many times storm unleashes a single bolt and tires out afterward. I will accept bringing forth a hurricane weakening her, or even a large sized average storm. However in the anime she barely showcases her power in extremes. She will maybe releases one lightning bolt and then she will just sit there like she can't do anything but watch or float. In the comics she is much more showy" with her powers and she seems perfectly fine.

I guess I'm just being bias because the older show was great, because most of it was based off comic books I was actually reading at the time...but this new stuff (including the films, and don't get me started on those) are just trash. Marvel really just thinks it can get away with ruining things, and they can because nobody is grouping up to complain. =/ Sad.

You got a point,they made her abilities powerful but her durability is weak. In the comics that is the way it is,I have seen Cyclops shoot her with just one single optic blast and it took her out. Her body's physique is human level.

I think the reason why you see it like that is because, in all honestly it does take a lote out of you, your using all of your streagth, so in a way, it does make sense, but I see your point, maybe its like, she still a newbe and she needs to get more powerful to controle her powers, mybe I might be wrong, the best Xmen of all times is the 90's version the the xmen evolution.
