It's so strange how music can change one's life. When I first heard Mahler's Sixth, over 20 years ago, it wiped out everything I had heard before. It literally wiped the blackboard clean. And then slowly and ghostlily Beethoven and Brahms reappeared, and then my first loves Sibelius and Bartok, and gradually Shostakovich came back. As I listen to Mahler's Sixth tonight I realize how stupid I am. There is no blackboard. Music lives in the mind, continually re-inventing itself.
@codonauta It's more of a physical effekt that loudspeakers really can't produce. An active subwoofer could possibly give it some punch - crank up the volume and don't live in an apartment like I do :/
@codonauta It's more a physical effect that loudspeakers really can't produce. Maybe with an powerful active subwoofer and a noncompressed recording it would be possible. Crank up the volume then and don't live in an apartment - like I do :/

First part of the Finale? Or, are you referring to the first movement? Either way, I'm seeing both, just look up Tokkemon's videos.
