I am a huge TOS fan, as my parents watched it before they went out. I distinctly remember Mom saying, "It's not over yet!" Since I was born in 65, they must have been reruns. Except, my kids & I have a special bond w/ENT.

This Star Trek begins as Kirk and Spock are in Starfleet Academy and then begin their missions together. Should be great filler between Star Trek Enterprise series and into the future with Kirk and Spock but not sure if any f the other original cast such as Scotty and Sulu are in it as younger characters.

The real movie is not this, well all most. The real movie takes place when they are building the enterprise. Its going to be called Star Trek under construction.

It has new plp replacing the cast from the original shows & movies. The plp that did lost are doing this star trek. I have no ideal how they are going to fit a story line here. So can't wait to find out tell Christmas lol.

I think they should have taken a jump forward instead of back. Just look at the franchise's history: TNG was a huge success, while the Enterprise throwback wasn't so hot.

Saw Cloverfield last nite here in New Zealand. Was ok. The monster is big, scary and loud.. The star trek thing is just a teaser but done quite well. Shows the TOS Enterprise in various stages of construction with historical dialog and what sounds like Spock (Nimoy. I'm sure it'll be on Youtube in no time

OMG i hope the narrator isn't coming back for the full-length trailer. That narration sucked! I agree with trouble47, we have seen Star Trek through so many variations and ships and times that somethin's gotten lost.
