  • Long time no hear. This takes me all the way back to secondary school circa 1983. Great post. Thanks for sharing.

  • Now, this is a funky groove!

  • Sayonara est un mot japonais pour dire au revoir.

  • The outro sounds sick, those synths DAMN!

  • This is huge! This has to be played on any dancefloor.

  • I would Totally taste Hazel Paynes Honey !

  • 1 GROS, GROS, LIKE YOU VERY GOOD

  • This song reminds me of my gf whenever she would come to Philly and I'd see her, she would be gone leaving me miserable. But now, over 20 years later I got her and I'm gonna marry her! (insert evil laugh here)

  • YEAH BABY ITS STICKY AGAIN

  • さよなら

  • Has one of them japanese ancestry?

  • @JFKenji you know i myself always have wondered if one of them in particular the lighter one had some kind of asian connection

  • @hassan1814 Whatever this song particularly shows how much are japan and black culture are close to each other

  • @JFKenji haha yeah its so simple

  • The outro & the synths are off the hook. Such emotion

  • Very good synth work!! A very tight track!!

  • this was among one of my favorite Lp next to their debut.

  • Quality

  • the best!!!!!! very very good

  • @stanlivers

I agree...I purchased every album they made....only thing, I think Hazel was very under rated...it seems as though all of Janices lead songs made it big....they are equal in talent and beauty as far as I am concerned

  • wow it feels good to hear this old spinner again. cherry....where are you now x

  • I didn't realize they did 2 songs with Japanese names/themes. The other one being Sukiyaki which was a classic Japanese song by a famous singer. And this one called "Sayonara". I never heard it before. Sukiyaki was incredible with the whole perfection of Japanese instrumentation. This one is just another song, not particularly anything special.

  • Love this song! I would have never heard of it if my dad hadn't given me his cd.

Does anyone else think this song is a lil underrated? 0_o

  • good old days

  • This song is very similar to Baby Be Mine by Michael Jackson, the structure and the music, both 1982

  • 80 - 82 BREED SOME FUNKY MUSIC,

  • the chorus is off the hook, especially towards the end - love the keys that come in... clean, top notch production.

  • Agreed, its a lesson in production.Very tight synth work.Sadly the music of today is lacking lets go back to the older ways of real musicians playing.

  • stunning!! I am 25 years old, and i love this music. Good music was made in the past!

  • Proper music.

  • this song reminds me of my girlfriend. she lived in nj me in philly. i only saw her 2 times in 20 years before we hooked up. everytime she came to philly and we'd see each other, she'd be gone again--sayonara

  • This was a funky jam from A Taste Of Honey back in the early 80's, very underrated and should've been released as a single. A few stations played the song but was never released a single.
