  • just came across one of the biggest coincidences ever and cant wait to tell the guy who got me into dr john just last week so ill tell you two of my favorite artists paul weller and oasis there was a myth that noel gallagher played on one of pauls albums. and it turns out to be true and i was a cover of this song who know ehh fuck i love when you get a bone like this. ooh great cover going to find the original thanks for the confirmation

  • Just hear the music and quit having your gay little arguments about fook all

  • a-a-and i can make them stutter.

wish it was the album from '68

  • perfect!

  • @cybershadow58 yes, my friend...a while...but ur still in my thots alot...i will endeavor to keep up w/ viewing the new stuff! Merci

  • @cybershadow58 Isn't this the original by Dr. John?

  • @72Dazzler nope..this is a cover-version by Martijn Hover; but written by Dr. John.

  • i LOVE this , over & over xxxxxx GEAUX

  • quite interesting! When I am not LilCaddy, I am known as "Jumpsturdy," named after a song on the same ATCO album that this song was released on. I too have loved it and Dr. John since I was 14 years old, many many years ago. Thank you for informing me of the Marsha Hunt cover. If you are interested in more Dr. John covers, hunt around for Laura Nyro doing Zu Zu Mamou. BTW are you Dutch? I ask because I really need to reside in the Netherlands, it is the best country in the world.

  • Thanks. Laura Nyro happens to be one of my favourites also! I didn't know about her covering Dr John. I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but I have to tell you it's not what it once was.

  • yeahhhh i am dutch,... GOOD video made...this shit is about metaphysics, god, live, death

  • Excellent ..

  • I shook Doctor John's hand in Washington D.C. and realized I don't care about these people more than they care about it. But this guy's music is awesome!

  • perfect!!!

  • This mix could not be better! In my opinion u have captured the real conjure of the Bayou Swamp Voodoo sound...nothing needed & nothing taken away! Great screaming guitar; nice mix; very nice Tarzan calls + the bell ringing at the end--all nice touches! Never change this!! [But experiment w/ other versions...please, please, please!

  • Black Magic. LOL! Those New Oreanians are something aint they?

  • It's all Africa by way of New Orleans, lol.

  • That is the cause of their punishment, by hurricane.

  • @howtoplanaparty

    stfu

    you fucking bitch

  • Well, you expressed your emotion, but you were not specific, about what is your complaint. Because I told the truth? Because it means you have to give up evil or else be blasted? What is your specific complaint. And try to leave the emotion out of it and tell me scientifically.

  • you fucking retard

    you invoke science

and then try to talk like your pathetic bible

    free clue dipshit

    god is imaginary

    jesus never existed

    your bible is fairy tales

grow up and learn to think for your self

stop relying on bronze age myths

  • @spurnthemuse: Scientifically? Scientifically I can't think of any justification for your somewhat befuddled comments. Define 'evil' and Papa Yabo will tell you whether you'll be blasted or not :)

@nyarltep: Lighten up, dude. Spurnthemuse has the right to believe what he wants, even if it may seem confused to the more rationally inclined among us. Calling him names isn't gonna change his mind...

  • @MartijnHover hi babes , fantastiC

  • @urheadonastick Ahh argument from numbers. That argument is simply ad populum, an appeal to popularity. Since most people in general believe in a god, and since all scientists are people, it makes sense that a high number of scientists believe in a god, whether or not this is derived from their understanding of science. However, this tendency toward belief does not make the assertion of any god being true. Try again moron.

  • @nyarltep

Yes and within those numbers (2 billion) are some of the most brilliant minds that fully except Christ as there savior and you childish assertions like your above posting doesn't make God untrue its just a cry into the dark by a lost pathetic jerkoff. Don't try again moron

  • @urheadonastick Dear Head on a stick,

(Whose head, I wonder? Sticking people's heads on sticjks is not a very christian thing to do, you know?)

Your argument still falls short of being convincing. Elvis did an album once, called "50,000,000 Elvis fans can't be wrong."

They not only could, they actually were.

  • @MartijnHover

Actually to the 50,000,000 Elvis fans it was correct for them, he's an entertainer not a scientist ,art and music is a subjective thing. I'm not an Elvis fan myself but what ever turns you on fine. Check my saves as you can see I'm a very serious music fan and a dedicated Jazz guitarist.

  • @urheadonastick

U are right of course in saying that music is a subjective thing. I still believe there are objective reasons foir saying that Elvis was overrated tho. I'd love to hear some of your jazz playing :)

  • @urheadonastick (ctnd): Elvis was in fact a pretty second-rate artist who was blown out of proportion by a rather slick and devious publicity machine. If there are 2 billion christians who think they are right, that means there are 5 billon people on this Earth who believe otherwise. If it just depends on numbers, that means that you and your fellow christians are probably wrong.

  • @MartijnHover

Your comparison with Elvis to Jesus was quite funny-

Numbers of masses opinion rarely means something is true or right-Jesus himself explained this when he said the way to salvation is through the narrow gate- The growth of Islam actually confirms the Bible in these final days-the Bible predicted Israel would be surrounded by its enemies toward the end days and it is by the Satanic death cult Islam.

  • @urheadonastick If u believe numbers don't say anything why do u keep bringing them up? And don't get me started about Israel. Right now that country is filled with its own worst enemies. Islam is no more Satanic than Christianity, I'm afraid. I brought up Elvis cos the Christ cult u seem to belong to reminds me a lot of the whacko Elvis cult. And btw, the Bible doesn't predict anything.

  • @urheadonastick I think you mean numbskull. You have a nice day too and try not to put any people's heads on sticks as that might jeopardize your Eternal Bliss. :-)

  • @MartijnHover

numbskull gets a spell check- numb skull doesn't Hmm whatever-

  • @urheadonastick you wrote numb scull smartypants :)

  • Comment removed

  • @MartijnHover

I originally wrote numbskull but spell check alerts on it. What can I say?

  • careful what you have wished for, dickbag

  • I don't have to wish for anythin. 'Twill all happen without me or with me. If you want to know how to be safe, study the prophecies. Specifically, what will happen to the wicked, to Esau, to Rome (Rev 17), to the lawless, to the ungodly, to the foes of the "children of Israel", which means the folks of Northern Eurpean heritage, and to the Amalekites, which largely means those in themedical profession. My Ma lived in Haiti as a girl. They voodooed us. Now they get paid back for it.

  • @spurnthemuse: You seem confused. I doubt anybody understands what you're talking about. Take it easy, dude. And if you believe that Haitians are being 'paid back' because they 'voodooed' you, you seem to slightly overestimate your own importance in the great scheme of things...

  • Thank you again. This is one of a handful of songs that I can remember hearing it for the very first time. They tend to stay with you...

  • Hi Martijn!...jus comin bak to visit my fav vid! This IS appropiately haunting & spooky....nobody 'cept Dr. John (& u) hav captured the real spookiness of this 'conjure' piece of music! Gratz!

  • THE GREAT gris gris man

  • Thank you very much!

  • Just the BEST mix i've ever heard...with lil trippy touches to the effects track!

    Nice work!

  • Wow! IMPRESSIVE!!!...i was reading a review of Dr. John 1968 version of this piece..and the reviewer said that it was 1 of the 50 Great Rock n Roll pieces of music that U hav never heard! It is a secret and magical/mystical #! I hav collected many versions on my site, and yours my friend is a magical and trippy as the original Dr. John #! BTW, ur use of the 'Baron Semedhi' sceens from "Live and Let Die" is a superb cutting together of docu footage and theatrical collage...nice work!

  • Fantastic!
