  • Sweet

  • 这个好好

  • The strong of music is entire here

    Wonderfull!

  • thank you for sharing this

  • I am glad so many people like it. I heard my sister practiced this piece in the early 1970's. When I heard it again in the 1980's, when I was older, I love it.

This piece puts one in another world.

  • nice song

  • I listed the 彝族舞曲 at 70's, but the 九百九十九朵玫瑰 was around 80's to 90's!!!!!!

  • beautiful..simply amazing!! i reject any1 who duznt like dis; dis rox my sox!!!

  • wonderful music and beautiful woman!I am really appreciate of you!

  • it's my favorate, i can listen to this all day without a break.

  • I don't know if you're still looking, but here's a video of her actually performing dance of the yi people, also, do you know if there's an actual dance that goes to this? I'd like to see it.

  • Amazing, best version of this wonderful song I've heard so far!

  • "Dance of Yi " chinese means " yi wu ", never heard :( but love it!

  • love the unique sound of PIPA....

  • Beautiful lady - beautiful music

  • I'm in love with that sound

  • wow, this is amazing, she surely does know how to play pipa. I heard this music in a movie before, but i dont recall the name of the movie.

  • I just fell in love with this song.

  • the pop song is "Nine Hundred and Ninety-nine Roses"....not 99..

  • Yi is the name of a minority in China. The composer Huiran Wang conceived this piece after one of his trip to Yi's area. He is the one who invented the "Tremolo" for pipa (with four fingers instead of three as we see in guitar tremolo).

The first one arranged the piece for guitar is Biao Yin. Xuefei Yang's version is mostly similar to Yin's. Except that Yin is more flamenco flavored.

The theme is absolutely beautiful. I believe this is by far the greatest Chinese original music for guitar.

  • This sounds like a variation of a composition I found on a CD called "Dance of the Yao People", but of course I could be wrong. Never the less I´ve been looking for this piece for ages. I prefer the other version played on a Dulcimer. This is very good though.

  • "Dance of the Yao People" is a totally different piece.

  • Love this song. I first heard it on classical guitar arranged by Chinese classical guitarist Xuefei Yang. It's really beautiful, sooo beautiful! :)

    xie xie, hjade007 ^__^

  • I really love this song man!!!

  • Listening to some of her music is like meditating!

  • Very moving performance of this piece. Liu's mastery of music and technique is great. Hope to hear her perform new compositions in the future.

  • @yellowman88: maybe our eyes get sore, when we get to behold you, who knows ;O) . For the people with brains and feelings, Liu is one of the rare spiritual musicians like Wynton Marsalis or Nigel Kennedy. But nobody looks so neat as she does. Great soul, great artist.

  • i love you

  • so, what are you doing here? Go somewhere else to sooth your delicate ears

  • im sure youd rather listen to heavy metal to bring peace to your ears

  • my friend, it is unfair to make a statement like that. Yellow man may have been rude, but heavu metal is a very diverse genre with many sub genres with in. to classify such a diverse form of music as bad is cold and foolish. I love metal as much as I love traditional japanese and chinese music. we can like it all : )

  • i know what you mean it is but the guy said this is bringing pain to his ears.... there are spose to bring peace and metal is a type of music that you enjoy in a diffrent way i mean you cant say metal brings peace when its some guy yelling at you ya know what i mean?

  • Maybe Liu Fang ought to smash a iron mallet on your head for insulting such good music.

  • This is great! I've only heard Wu Man's version

  • Miroma,I agree with you

  • Liu Fang's music is amazing. She's better than some of the all time greats in my opinion.
