Whether the Helms Burton Act is week or not is up to the US government to enforce it and up to foreign entities as to whether they want to abide by it. I've just came back from Cuba. I did the resorts, visited Havana for a few days and made a 6 day roadtrip. It was a sweeeet vacation! Very nice country and yes, the resorts minus the Americans is very relaxing

If Cuba chooses to guarantee freedom for the Cuban people, respect human rights and hold "FREE" elections without Coercion the embargo comes off. Why don't get yourself some knowledge before you talk nonsense!

Cuba was such a wonderful country, completely unique and endlessly interesting.
I think people who visit just the resorts are missing out big time.
I travelled all round the country, and it was all good. The culture, the people, the cities and the countryside were all so memorable.
And the people just seemed to have a love for life, it puts people in richer countries to shame.
I hope the future is good for Cuba, but without the place losing it's uniqueness.

Cuba's dual currency is creating larger gaps between the rich and the poor.
The people want to start "Living" and the standards are low.
Citizens are not able to have free speech and are jailed for nothing.
Richer Countries don't need to feel shame at all. Cuba's shame is they have kept their country held back due to their failed political plans.

Cuba is actually much better than the US government claims. And it actually got much better when Castro rulled. Cuba really isnt that bad of a place. And they also have great healthcare. I like Cuba :)

On this video as well as on all info & videos in re to Cuba at 1492 I have not been able to find a history documentary as there are from Puerto Rico and other Caribbean places. All I find on Cuba are music and present time recollection of stuff that reflects nothing of the real thing.
If someone finds a video as the ones narrated by K Kostner about P Rico please let me know. This "discovery" makes me very sad.

I've just came back from Cuba. I did the resorts, visited Havana for a few days and made a 6 day roadtrip. It was a sweeeet vacation! Very nice country and yes, the resorts minus the Americans is very relaxing

poverty is define differently from whichever country you may be from but you cant aspect every country to be like the US in the Carribeans Cubans have a good standard of living except for the food problem.the world don't need microwave and ovens,TV and AC to live comfortably. if you took the time to live in a foreign country for awhile you would see how happy people could be with just there family and there communities
