your first one was a great start if that really was your first attempt. this one hasnt improved at all. you seem to have tried and get it realistic but the head shrinks drastically and the turn is completely wrong. it looks very flat and your horse simple pivots on the spot. Again theres no weight, its a shame because your drawing skills are extremely good and the construction is lovely If you go to university though they will tell you off for concentrating on shading over quality of movement
Uhmm, okay ... I see you could be trying to help but it is a great deal of work trying to animate. Especially horses because of their defined anatomy and many joints ... All I'm saying is, this "critique" sounds a little bit too harsh for the already good work that has been given.
I'm not an animation student, I only did these two quick animations for fun. These are the only two I've ever done, and I've never had any instruction on how to do animation (nor have I researched how to either, I just tried to figure it out on my own). I'm a drawing/painting student. My work is nothing like these animations haha. Like I said, these were just for fun. Thanks for the pointers though.
that is good, how do you do this kind of stuff,do u download any kind of software?i do mine on windows movie make, with paint,or i take pics of my drawings
You get a lot of paper then draw a horse lightly then make sure it looks good then trace it hard with the paper behind it. Then go to the next sheet, then move the legs, mane, tail, or any part u want it to move but only make slight changes and then trace hard and go on and on and on then get a video camera, take the shortest shot u can get, then stop, then go to the next movement. HOPE THIS HELPS!
if u want to make it outstanding, it takes a few hours, maybe days, even weeks. But if you rush then your not gonna have trouble with everything, BUT it will only take about 2 hours. I perfer to take my time.
Actually, it doesn't really take that much time. It's easier since you copy and paste and alter each one a little.
You same each frame as it's own file and then make each one last a short, equal amout of time so that it looks like it's moving the way you want it when you play it back.
If you have a PC just look at the all programs in the start menu and "Windows Movie Maker" should be there. If not, find one online. Sony makes some good ones that have 30-day trials (for example Vegas) or you could buy those types of programs on you computer.
WOW!!

This is so amazing! Did you just draw each little frame and then put it all together? I wish I could do this!

@CookiesnMilk88 horses pivot like that, not just show horses but horses can do that, it is still realistic.

@HardymooreTaker Thanks! I know it's small, I have such a hard time keeping the proportions correct when moving from frame to frame.

You can also draw the frames on the computer and then put them together making each only last a little bit of time with a video editing program.

wow, that must take like...a week! but how do you make all the pictures into one movie??
