I think the capacitive buttons on the Nexus One weren't responding because you weren't touching the phone on any other place with your body. Same thing happens to me sometimes with the HTC Magic screen. If you ground it with another body part (say you hold it in your hand instead of placing it flat on the table) it works just fine.

instead of doing browser tests on mobile sites, i think it would be better to load up a site that is not toned down for mobile viewing to truly see what the difference is. loading up yahoo mobile is kind of useless.
