This GTO IS twin turbo. I have seen it in person and have ridden shotgun before. If I remember correctly on it's lowest boost setting it was somewhere north of 800rwhp. I know it sure felt like it!! Fastest car I have ever been in.

You'd be surprised. Top Gear went over and no one knew where they came from. It's a shame GM dropped the GTO because of the recession. As for the engine the ones in Aus are a different spec (still American) and the driveline in the GTO is sent to Aus fitted to the car and then they send the cars over... Awesome when two nations band together to produce Great cars

GM Dropped the GTO in America because the Monaro in Australia was being redesigned for a new model and the sales in the US were slow. It actually had nothing to do with the recession that started after the GTO sales already ended.
