EEE PC 900 XP Boot Problem (fixed read description)

I did the same thing you did because mine wasnt booting right but then it gives me some message about dropping to a shell and something about initramfs...? Any ideas on what to do?

i did the exact samething but i still get the hyphen in the left corner

my pc boots on and freezes on the company name and when i enter setup it freezes there too

An bios upgrade to the latest version solved that problem for me.

dude I dont' have the america trends and the thing is really pissing me off I even tried f9 function I don't get it

my mom has the same problem on her eee pc 900 the laptop only starts up only with the cd drive and the xp cd in the drive if i boot up with the cd drive one other thing this happend to me after i updated the bios via the bios update on xp

what do i have to do so i dont have to start the pc with the cd drive and the cd every time???
