so wait, did you use the camera's built in 16:9 ratio or did you re size it in the software?

Oh I'm sorry I didn't even explain how to make it HD! What I did was, I filmed in the squeeze mode and captured it like that. After that I just compressed it with a resolution of 1280x720. I think to do that you need to start of the project as an HD project in Premiere.

if you start as and HD project then, you would have to scale it to the size of the hd template right?

I'm not sure, play around with it with a small clip and see how it goes. I did this video in Sony Vegas and no longer have any of the squeeze footage that I used for this video.

I own a DVX 100b, can you tell me how you rendered that to play in HD because most of the time I cant even render mine to play high quality on youtube.

Damn that's a good ass price! Unfortunately I didn't use Final Cut, I used Sony Vegas 7 but I'm going to assume it's pretty much the same idea. Give this a try though, once you're done with the project export it at 1280x720 and see if it uprez's itself.
