Try going to options and setting the on ice option to off or whatever it is you have. example is its off turn it on etc.. That should work.

Its not choppy, itll get really slow for like 3 sec then go to normal speed constantly

My only guess would have to be Vista. but then again I'm sure all the mods are made for both XP and Vista. Other than that you have a great set up. You can try turning the display settings down just a tad to see if that works. NHL '09 for PC is kinda weird on some good comps it will run like shit and sometimes it won't.

How bag is the lag? like choppy wise frozen for awhile then randomly speeds up. what are your specs btw.
