Those sound good. I just put on a set of revtechs. Simple instalation. Did the thunder jet add on to the carb with the jet change. Its not bad for an 883 Check it out.

Yes, he did a re-jet. My understanding is that any change that increases the flow of exhaust requires a re-jet, otherwise the engine will run too lean, producing extra heat.

im lookin for vance and hines exhaust for my HD Sportster 1200C, and I noticed that the short shots have a great sound to them, but I hate the short exhaust look, so which vance and hines exhaust should I be looking for thats close to that sound?

PS Just wondering which pipes you think have the DEEPER sound - V&H or SE? Some pipes sound blatty or clicky. I'm looking for pipes that have a deep sound but without the clatter. Thanks again.

Little known fact, but those straight drag pipes totally remove backdraft pressure (or whatever thats called), which causes a signifigant loss of HP

You are correct about straight pipes, sir. Straight pipes do actually reduce horsepower. However, these Vance and Hines are NOT straight pipes. I've ridden with the owner of this bike, and it's as fast as my bike, which is virtually identical to mine, except that he has V&H pipes, and I've got SE.

They sound good I have an 04 1200R bought it with the SE slip-ons. What I did to give it that nice Harley sound was drilled out the baffles, around the baffles were a boatload of fiberglass rolled around them I removed the fiberglass insulation and reincerted the baffles via using a mig welder WOW it sounds nice and no change in the performane of the machine.
