I think I tried that and it didnt work. Need to push monolith or whoever owns the rights nowadays for the source code so someone to make a port. Also my PC isnt that fast.
The PC I'm on right now is an Emachines PC running XP home SP3 1.8ghz CPU 512MB RAM NVidia video Realtek audio. The laptop that I have with no screen I don't know the specs of that if that's what you r looking for. I will have to look next time I turn it on. My PC isn't a bad machine but it's a little outdated. I'd like XP on a 6GB ram PC but XP don't like ram over 2GB.
@coondogtheman1234 Well thats not a very good setup, I reccomend installing Virtualbox and download a ISO of Windows 98 SE and install it as a virtual OS, this will allow you to boot and run older programs like Blood and I have no mouth and i must scream and be able to actually play them correctly.
That's a bit of overkill just to play the shareware version When I know damn well my PC can run it directly. Couldn't you somehow mod the game's audio so it uses standard wav files for all the sounds and somehow find the source code in the game's code to make a port?
@coondogtheman1234 Why are you using the Shareware copy of blood? the full copy isnt very hard to get, the games files are packed into RFF files, which are unopenable by normal means, but inside are WAV files in 8-bit format. even if you extracted all the games files the game wouldnt use them, it can only recognise the file format that its build to use. and the source code cannot be obtained from the game, its already compiled, Besides Atari owns the rights to the source code now anyway.
@MrPivotjuggalo then we need to get atari to release the source code. I was able to extract the audio files from the game using Game extractor but I could only listen to the. And Do you have any links to the full version of blood?
@coondogtheman1234 For legal reasons im not allowed to send links to warez on youtube, so google is your friend in this subject, and Atari hasn't released the source code in about 12 years, im sure there not going to do it anytime soon.

The MIDI music is probably more suitable for the game, the CD one is a bit over the top in contrast with the graphical quality. I think the more quite MIDI music is the best, like cblood8 (the one in E3M1 for example).
Anyone knows if there are any mods or conversions to make BLOOD 1 look more modern. I loved the game when I was a school boy, but now it's look disturbs me a bit.
Hi! How can you make the cd audio to work? I am playing it in dosbox and have no luck. The cd has the audio tracks, i can hear them in windows media player so they are not missing i suppose.
is there any way to play this game on modern PCs?

@coondogtheman1234 You should use DOSbox for that, it emulates DOS.

Also, Strife in technical terms did not have alternate attacks. They were separate weapons.
