@cyrjordan It's certainly some type of non-venomous water snake-possibly a diamondback water snake. I couldn't say for certain, though. But it is definitely not a moccasin. Those guys are short, but thick-bodied and stout. And when they swim, they swim with their whole bodies on top of the water-almost like they are slithering on top of the water.
That's not a water moccasin. Water moccasins are shorter, stouter and they swim on top of the water, reather than under it like that.
