Very nice looking car. I believe the color is Almond Pearl Beige, same color as mine. I have a '93 LE, one owner, 112K miles on it. This was a great year for Toyota..although I have to be honest with you I was told to stay away of the V6 Engine. When one of the complaints about this car is the cup holders, (they could be in a better place), you have nothing to worry about. My VIN starts with a ''J'' for Japan where it was built. It's a SOLID CAR! No cheap USA parts from Taiwan it it!
Hello everyone, I'm going to buy a Dodge Intrepid in sometime the near future. My question is, do any of the dodge intrepid's models have rear folding seats? I had a 1993 and it did not, but I heard that later models did. If you know anything let me know.
A car like this i would gladly spend $6-7000 clean look, effecient and definately deliberately durable! if treated right. it's sad how this new new generation of vehicles is far worse i believe, ive lived and raised in the 2000's, but before generations are far greater in my opinion
My dad had a 94 V6 XLE and it ran great. Gas wasn't too good in New York but it was okay. The only major fix was the power steering rack. It was said that that was a defect of its year idk if it's true. Also one thing i hated about the older models was the fan. It would always overheat in heavy traffic. Otherwise these things are flawless. Now we have a 2003 and 2009 camry. I bet the 2003 will run much longer than the 09 for sure.
Mine doesn't have a muffler so it sounds cooler! lol awesome condition for this vehicle's age. I litterally grew up riding in a 93 Camry (familys first car, and it was the best investment in a car we ever made) and when I got a license it was my first car. I still drive it today! I wish it was in this pristine condition though.
Toyota Scepter for japan's spec is 200ps around 197hp for the 3VZ-FE..
I owned one,Mine different with this camry..Scepter have sunroof,Traction control,Suspension stiffness control(TEMS),electric control A/C,electrical seat..and etc..
@MangoSmoothie16 No, not all have 4 cams. What I was trying to explain was that since its a V6, it has two rows of cylinders, so therefore it has DOHC's on each bank of cylinders, make for a total of 4 cams. If it was the 5s-FE model with 4 cylinders ( I4) then it would have only one set DOHC's (1 exhaust and 1 intake) for a total of 2.
@turkaljd Sorry, to clarify further, I forgot to add that since the 5S-Fe is an I4 so it only has one bank (or one row) of cylinders. Think of the V6 as two separate engines connected on a common crankshaft if its easier to visualize that way, so each "sepparate engine" will have its own set of exhaust and intake camshafts.
Hello, your videos are very nice, showing everything from the car and take several questions about these cars. Congratulations on the job, hehe! I'ma huge fan of the Toyota Corolla and wanted to see a video about the 2012 Corolla here. Thanks, and do great job making this!
does the tranny hard shift in first gear on this? i had a 1993 lexus es300 with only 32k original miles, same exact engine and tranny as this camry and it had some recall work done.
I miss when Toyota built cars like this, at least the Camry. I owned a green '94 LE and it was solid for over 190,000 miles. I now own a 2008 Camry LE and it's built quality is dismal in comparison.
@markkjay i know what you mean. My parents have 1990 camry as their runabout with 269,000 and still going strong :) new ones might look nice but the interior is made out of cheap imported crap :/
Best car ever.... I got a 1994 Toyota Camry LE V6 with 285,000 original miles with same original engine and transmission even same alternater. These V6 engines are bulletproof. Toyota is the best!
I don't like the rear light on this one, the splitted one looks better. When that's said I would really like to have this car, though with a manual gearbox.
Not really We've gone through 3 Toyota's already. The First was a 1986 Hilux Turbo diesel. (the turbo self-destructed) and the brakes shot out, master cylinder blew a hole and leaked everywhere. The Second was a 1993 Toyota Camry, Frame rusted completely through and the Third was another Camry (can't remember the year) It got into a small collision and we had no choice but to scrap it. The 83 K5 Blazer and 90 Caprice have only had small electrical problems. Toyota is overrated.
I have the 1995 camry and to be honest after I sat on a 2010 rava 4, I realized why people say toyota lost its way. Heck my 16 yr camry is much better quality and feels much more solid!
thanks for sharing this Kyle...I used to have a 95 Camry which looked very similar to the one in this video...I agree with your statements about the build quality...
The intro of the video took 34 seconds. If video doesn't get you interested in 10 seconds that video is bad video. That is why you are not getting any more views. You have to change your style.
Nice video. I have a 1994 as well as a few others. Mine hit 100,000 miles on March 3rd and now currently has 106,000. It needs a paint job and we are still searching for a guy that can do it at the right price. Our Camry hasn't idled that high :)
I would take this car over any other used car on the market right now. being 17 and in need of a car, i'd want this more than anything else. a v6 keeps me happy, a 93 model doesn't burn nearly as much gas, its a simpler cleaner design, less things can go wrong with it cuz its very simple and down to the hardware, and quite frankly. i think these Camry's are the best looking Camry's ever made
My aunt still has a 1994 Camry (LE 4cyl) with 50,000 kms (31,000 miles) and still smells like new hahahahaha. I wanna buy her Camry but she doesn't wanna sell it :'(
The 92-96 Camry was the best generation Camry ever made, without a doubt. The engines weren't plagued with oil sludge issues and these still had their own distinctive personality unlike the generations after 2001. What a find this car is.
@JamalGibran i know what it is, just didnt know it was available on cars back in the early 90's, both my cars come standard with footbrakes, but looks alot different to these ones :S
Man there are like 10 of these Camry's from this generation in my apartment complex no lie. There is even someone with a Camry Wagon. There are a few from the later generations also.
Too bad Toyota now cares about volume. I made my decision that I won't be getting another Toyota until they go back to making material quality priority. The lack of interior refinement of new Toyota's baffles me.
This is extremely low mileage for a 1993 and it is in nearly mint condition. These era Toyotas are the most reliable vehicles are you're ever gonna find.
@saabkyle04 i thought i should start helping you out with trivia on the vehicle's you feature this Camry has the optional V6 as you mentionmed and that the competing Accord competitor did not have a V6 option good video work:)
@uruguayo54 Toyota actually cares about the environment. When a car's engine is cold, it pollutes at its highest levels. Keeping the rpms slightly higher warms the car up faster, which heats the cat converter (emission control system). A cat. converter is ineffective when the vehicle is cold, and is at peak efficiency once the vehicle reaches its normal operating temperature.
I've realized a fact through the years because of videos like this and my family's obsession with keeping our cars nice (me and my dad are downright ridiculous) and it is that the main reason older cars look outdated and crappy is because of a lot of the clear plastic fading ie: headlights, taillights, black trim, etc. A lot of companies don't change cars that much from model to model and this is a good example. this camry compared with a 98 camry is a good example of this.
wow this car is absolutely immaculate! this one's in good enough condition to be in a showroom, and i must say this is undoubtedly one of the best generations of camrys ever built. I drive an '02 camry le 4-cyl and I considered buying an older gen camry before bc of the reputation but I've had pretty good luck with it for the last 3 years that I had it and thankfully, it was not a part of the accelerator pedal recall.
@achm3d The older Camry's are great. Mainly the 2006 on back models. The current generation, 2007-present, are horrible. You can take the dashboard apart and everything. You have a 2002 like my sisters. The last generation that they were built with high quality. :-)
Just for an fyi Kyle the traction control button is actually the ECT button for the transmission. There two modes on it which is power or winter if im not mistaking. But great job on ur vids! Keep up the good work bro!

@MangoSmoothie16 yes, it has a Dual Overhead Cam so 2 cams per bank since its a V6 (1 exhaust + 1 Intake) X2 = 4 cams.

@turkaljd Do all DOHC V6's have 4 cams then? I always took dohc as dual overhead cams so 1 cam for each 3 cylinders making dual or 2 cams.

@uruguayo54 because the engine's stone cold
SilentServiceCode 9 months ago
@uruguayo54 Toyota actually cares about the environment. When a car's engine is cold, it pollutes at its highest levels. Keeping the rpms slightly higher warms the car up faster, which heats the cat converter (emission control system). A cat. converter is ineffective when the vehicle is cold, and is at peak efficiency once the vehicle reaches its normal operating temperature.

This video makes me miss my old 96 Camry lol If only it was a V6 I may have just kept it instead of getting rid of it for my V6 Accord ;)

Kyle, This is a gem of a car. How did u find it with such low mileage. They changed to this body style in 92, and this car was very well made.

From back when Toyota built a car worth a damn.

My grandma had a car exactly like this when I was little. Brings back memories! Thanks for posting!

wow this car is absolutely immaculate! this one's in good enough condition to be in a showroom, and i must say this is undoubtedly one of the best generations of camrys ever built.

Idle at 2k rpm?
xdivisionx 9 months ago
@xdivisionx its because it was a cold start. Almost all cars idle high for 30 seconds-1 minute until the engine warms up.
