Nealry five years ago this song literally changed me and basically saved my life. Shannon Hoon in my opinion was the most inspirational song writer, vocalist and all around person since John Lennon and there will never be another who will hold a candle close to him. I could never explain how many times hearing this song and many other Blind Melon songs have helped me through life and seeing the better side of things. I love you Shannon R.I.P. friend.

I had the good fortune of meeting him in Chicago in 94 after WoodStock ( was there too) And he was the most genuine person Id ever met at that time. So open, and friendly to me and my friends. That experience drew me closer to not only his music, but to him as a person. I still feel sadness when I think of losing him. Does the Vigil still take place every year like it use to? Ive been out of the loop recently.

No one has ever posted a negative comment about Blind Melon. There is a reason for that, there is nothing bad you could say about them. I've was listening to them before No Rain even hit the shelves. I could not belive the sound of this band. There will never be another group like them. If I had one wish it would not to be rich, live a long healthy life, or to be famous; it would be to bring Shannon back healthy and happy!

I sat down and had a listen to these guys, the first song to play was Mouthful of Cavities, the next to play was Change. I've been absolutely in love with them ever since.

I have always loved grunge & other early 90s music and only recently bought Blind Melon's self-titled CD on a whim....how they were not more famous, well-respected and critically acclaimed is a mystery to me...the music is sublime, the lyrics are deep and meaningful, and, like many of my favorite bands, they perfected the art of expressing the ugly side of life (i.e. depression, insecurity, etc.) in a positive and hopeful manner that certainly connected with me.

In the mainstream arena bands are like companies. Its all about the image and the look, 100% attitude, 0% music. The 2000´s and specially this new decade, musically speaking, is the worst decade of all music history.
