I tried the cheap carbon fibre off ebay a while back just to do my gear surround, nightmare with bubbles and peeling back and redoing. Tried it again in my Magna a few weeks ago using 3M carbon fibre cause they say it has miniature holes in the weaving and easier to get the bubbles out. Man are they right!  Dearer but easier and longer life. So they say

i had wrap my friend's front hood last time.

the first thing that is spray some water on the hood.

it is really help me when adjusting the cf sticker when the bubbles come up

Here is something i've always wanted to know, what happens if you spray a clear coat over this carbon fiber style vinyl.

@MEERKATmichael in theory the solvents in the clearcoat will melt and warp the vinyl.

@customspraymods You can get a clear Vinyl that can be applied over this that will make it glossy.

The guy off ebay that supplies it might be sending me a roll to try out. So a follow up Video might be in order

i think it would've been more efficient if you did half a bonnet at a time rather than peel the whole thing and have to constantly unpeel to get air bubbles out

@aznghai Not wrapping. I would doubt it's real carbon fiber. It's most likely just vinyl with carbon fiber print.

The 3M stuff is a satin black vinyl with a cross hatched texture on it.
