  • when it comes to the battery grip , your better choice by far is TARGUS ,totally compatible ,with the additional shutter on the side , it works likes a charm ,and much cheaper too , i bought one on Adorama , and i returned it , because it didn't have the side shutter bottom ,i'd pay 98 dollars ,then a got that RARGUS one for less than half the price with everything i needed ,i was a happy camper , go with it my friend ,and theres videos about it on youtube as well rgds

  • baterry grip with half press?

  • the grip is a waste of money for the d60. your better off saving your money for another lens or a better camera body.

  • See i have a nikon D40 with battery grip but, i have a Tamron 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 (im 16 thats about the best i can afford) and i have the good pictures to back it up despite "low end" gear

  • where did you buy the battery grip?do you think its compatible with my D40?

  • yes compatible. try amazon

  • nice camera and equipment, but what is the point of the video that I'm missing ?

  • Comment removed

  • Worlds most boring video

  • sir can you post the same set up BUT with the hand strap? i would love to have the same grip and lens plus the strap but i'm thinking it will be bulky?

  • Dude, I have the same camera, and looking at that exact flash to buy at the moment,

How do the pics compare with the SB-600 to the inbuilt flash for low light?

I'm hoping it's a massive difference.. as those flashes are a small fortune!

  • the sb 600 flash its also for the d40 right

cuz i read a review and it said u can use it with the d40

  • Yes, works for D40

  • where can I buy a grip for nikon d60? thanks!

  • buying a grip for a d60 is like putting sick rims on a minivan, you save up for the cadillac then get the rims

  • i don´t think so

  • I'm sick and tired of all the camera-snobbery. At the end of the day it's the photos you take, not the cost of your equipment or indeed how good your camera looks as you seem to be indicating for some reason.

  • respect man, i have a d100 with a fifteen year old lens and i still can take pictures with it that make people say wow.

  • agreed... the most important part of any camera is the 12 inches behind it.

  • @ekit380, Long face.

  • @ekit380 a truer word was never spoken

  • @ekit380 12 inches behind the camera? but that would mean you are using live view

  • You can get the grip at wal-mart. They have them for around $99US.

  • Is a lenshood necessary for this lens?

  • no i have this lense, in my oppinion before you buy anything else for your camera you should get a tripod and a new lense then that stuff

  • I just bought me a manfrotto and a 50mm 1.8 so i pretty happy with that stuff. But your right, its not so necessary right now. Maybe in summer....

  • i got a manfrotto to and a 55-200mm VR i recomend it, its a great buy

  • Thx, i need a zoom lense! But first i need an external flash, sure the sb 600 and 800 are great but really expensiv. Does anybody got experience with the sb-28DX??? You can send me a message! Would be great, thx

  • Wow, your camera looks like a radar.

    Btw, awesome set-up!

  • u stole my camera n my flashgun! ahuhauahuah

    exctly the same! Nice :)

  • There's also a place on here called EssentilElectronics or if you type in "Nikon D40 or D60 Battery Grip" it should come up and they're selling it and I'm sure it's cheaper than the store which I bought one for 100

  • Haha my camera looks exactly like that. Same stuff.

  • Okay cut the crap and show me the before and after pictures

  • so a D60 will work with an SB600 speedlight?

  • Yes

  • @pussiecyatdoll SURE

  • gupie jak but - video nic nie wnosi, ktoś się chwali sprzętem, szkoda czasu na oglądanie

  • Is it worth it? Substantial differences?

  • Where did you get the grip?

  • The SB600 will help take away some of that harsh lighting on peoples face if you are close up. More importantly, the tilting and rotating will allow you to bounce your light which allows for different looking lighting if you wish to be more creative. One more thing I realize after getting it, is the iTTL communication with the Nikon camera makes all the settings automatic on the flash. The flash actually zooms in/out as you zoom the lense.

  • As for the grip, I would only recommend it if your hands are big. Otherwise it's awkward to hold. It doesn't have a lot of weight to it. It can accept two EN-EL9 batteries to double the pictures taken, or use 6 rechargeable batteries which is 1.2V X 6 = 7.4V. Now I highly don't recommend you use regular Alkaline batteries (even though the user manual don't say so) because Alkaline is 1.5V X6 = 9V, and when I tried it one time, the camera shut off. Luckily nothing was damaged.

  • Nice vid, thanks for the post! I got a D60 aswell, is the SD-600 worth it? And the battery grip...how does it feel on the D60?
