Devastating flooding and mudslides in Cinque Terre Italy

how sad, we are going there for in late march and april. i have been before and it is one of my favorite places in the world. i wonder if the trains are running again. it seems so unlikely but we are hopeful or we will walk.

Oh how horrible. I was just there two weeks ago and walked down those streets. Just devestating!!!! My thoughts and prayers are with the people of that area.

We were there just days before this tragedy, drinking wine and eating sandwiches on benches next to the church. This is unbelievable.

How sad! We were just there in Vernazza 5 days before this hit you guys - I imagine it took you guys a few days to get out. What a bummer that this certainly ruined your vacation there but we're happy you made it out o.k. Nice job documenting it and thanks for posting. I've included it with our blog....

So sad I was there on Sept 21 2011 and we got engaged on those rocks down there. I'm lad they are still there
