Oh I wish I could travel to Fishguard by steam again.
Back in the 5os and untill 1962 my family and I often traveled from Paddington via Fichguard to my parents home city of Cork. The best days of my life.
Stop was 1 1/2 hours. The Duke was coaled and watered and was then coupled at the rear and towed by the 47 who followed us from Newport. At Fishguard Harbour Duke was at front and 47 came separately behind to Newport. The triangle was used to avoid Carmarthen on the return.
Excellent video, I've just come accross it, and noticed you've captured me filming at Carmarthen at 2.14..ha..ha..well done..5*..Bob
