Braces-How to use elastics

i started wearing elastics this month, which was my 3rd adjustment and i wear 3, 2 triangles on the sides and 1 that goes around all my front top and bottom teeth, hurts very much but it really helps my open bite :D

I just got my elastics yesterday :[[ They hurt sooo muchh. and idk why but mine are like extra tiny so they dont stretch as much...my pattern is completely different too. like the elastics are connected to the back molars and my canine teeth. its painful :[

when i had them for my overbite i had two on when i went to bed and woke up with one :) so the other one either snapped or i swallowed it ;)

my bro has elastics they call em ram rubberbands?!?!? he hates em he`ll be taking em off to eat and he just uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh like puts em round his finger and they all snap and fly round! once we were at a mothers day dinner with my family and grandma and it was on his finger and it flung off his finger across the table at me!

i didnt get given one of those tool things either. its way easier 2 just use ur fingers any way :p

can someone help ! i got braces but the ortho didnt give me hooks why?

@sweetazchoclate I'm sure your ortho knows what s/he is doing. You won't get the hooks until you actually need to use the rubber bands (if you need them at all). That's how mine worked.
