  • this has to be the least scary horror movie I've ever seen. not 1 single scare and it's more like a comedy somehow without the jokes. I've seen scarier stuff in Home Alone 2 seriously, NO SERIOUSLY, I HAVE.

  • @TheEXpothead This movie came out in 1991 and was one of the first horror films to use CGI. It was made for the story, if you hadn't heard of The Haunting 1980s version. It was more of a test and had a budget problem. Plus it's release was badly timed with that of Jurassic Park, one of the first Adventure films to have a major use of high quality CGI. Not all Horror movies are made to scare you. This one was made for the suspense. Was she going mad? Was the place haunted? This is an older film.

  • And I would suggest respecting the older films as they are what we have been building off of. The Exorcist, Poltergeist, The Haunting, Amityville...To name a few of them, have helped us gain more insight into what people fear, and thus movies like Haunting in Conneticut, Paranormal Activity, The Haunting of Emily Rose, and others were born of the older generations.

BTW. Paranormal Activity, I, as a horror movie lover, fear is a fraud. Fishing Line, dim lights and video effects= cheap scares...

  • i hope i will have a house like that..but not haunted...

  • i love this song

  • super film

  • the film is amazing! i never get bored when i watch it!!

but it is so scary !!!!

  • I love that house and I wan't to live there! It's so grotesque and creepie, bizzare yet beautiful. The house was alive!

The special effects sort of spoiled the movie for me though and I never thought it was scary. Not like the original one!

  • This was one of my favorite parts in the film. Catherine Zeta Jones is SEXY.

  • who doesn't luv this movie ^_^ if u dont like it dont answer my question!

  • This is actually the 1st horror movie I saw. I loved horror movies since this especially ones about haunted houses.

  • @KTBEverlasting I aggree with you there as this was one of the first horror movies I saw and since then I don't think there has been a horror movie quite as scary as this although paranormale activity came a very very close second

  • I thought it was okay

But the original (the one in 1963) was WAAAAAY better and scary. It was one of the best horror films I've ever seen

Forget about the children's story and watch the original (if you don't mind black and white) it's different

  • Awsome music kinda freaky but cool! luv this movie

  • his film is amazing

    psiho...

    elanor die at the end...:(

  • Great movie! Love the music as well..

  • baadarani123 you're an idiot

  • Wow, really? thats cool because I live in Rivendell off of lord of the rings.(Not)

Tell me do you live in the The British Campus of the University of Evansville(which was what they used for the outward appearence of the mansion)

Or was it the old hanger that used to hold the "Spruce Goose" airplane which was staged inside to look like the interior of a real mansion?

To put it simply....The mansion in the movie is not a real mansion. . .

  • well said ^_^

  • yea okAY!!

    whatever

  • The late, and very great Jerry Goldsmith :D his score to this is amazing

  • WHo did the music to this movie?

  • Ooooohhh, thank you very much!

I love this film, and this scene :D

  • reminds me of Final Fantasy

  • funny music...
