Dave is one of the most amazing climbers out there. He is definately onsighting the climb because he didnt have any beta for the route. No one had ever climbed it before because conditions were bad.

Dan Osman was mad, great but honestly he wasn't the best. Just because he liked to free solo doesn't make him the benchmark.

dan osman was a pure climber. in every escence. in free solo he was the best. lets see sharma go somewhere without a rope or water. he wouldn't finish that 35 foot boulder on king lines what makes you think he would finish a 2,000 foot 5.12-.13

@metaphor707 People climb for different reasons, but you will be hard pressed to find many people who climb because they enjoy dancing with death. It is apparent through a comparison of the two climbers ascents that Sharma is a stronger and more technically skilled climber then Dan Osman. Chris obviously has the ability to do any of the climbs Dan did, but obviously lacks the desire to risk his life.

(i don't even like sharma all that much as im a trad climber, but i just had to address this absurdity of this comment) oh yeah and he WAS the best free soloist at some point, but now honnold has made me all but forget that osman ever soled anything.
