  • Gawd this is version is awful. There's no soul in the singing, and it's all faster and off-key.

  • I just saw this weird-ass commercial where an office is filled with multiple Van Goghs; an "easy button" commercial. So, anyways, this version sucks.

  • this is a awesome song and as im sure you are getting it is by sam the sham and the pharaohs. The Animals never did this or did a version of this song. but thanks for posting it :D

  • This is Sam the Sham. I worked on the 999 version of it in the 70's and I know the history of the song inside out. Good luck with your studies.

    Ax

  • It must be The Animals singing this song if it is on the internet -- everyone knows that.

  • Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs not The Animals get you facts right b4 posting

  • S'okay ... I like Sam the Sham. And I doubt even the Animals could have filled Sam's shoes. Would have been good tho.'

  • Yep...despite how "SURE" the poster is that this is The Animals doing this song, it IS in fact Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs. Now I will not speak to whether the Animals did a cover to this at some point, but there is NO way to mistake the the voice of Sam here....just every little inflection and cadence gives it away....sorry to burst the bubble of the "expert" :->

  • I always believed the Animals did this, but after hearing this and seeing comments, not so sure. Checked out Animals discography on Wikipedia, but can't find version on any of their albums.

  • @daven58100

It's Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, man.

  • @vantango90 Yeah, i realize that but thanks for the response. I seen another video where the Pharaohs were doing it "live". What i meant was that I thought it was ALSO covered by the Animals. Peace.

  • This is Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs singing- NOT the Animals!

  • if you cant figure out how to use that link i just put try typing in The Animals Little red riding hood and look for about 15 seconds on here and youll find it... and you might not be sure BUT unlike you I AM SURE...years in school majoring in history of rock and roll helps me to say yes I DO KNOW

  • @thesmogmankills if you studied rock history then you would notice that if you dint put a comment then we cant easily tell. and if you think that because you know rock history that you are smarter than the rest of us..then lets throw out there that i did the first album with the animals. yes..i run a studio, if you want to open up and think you are the bes thing here because you studied rock history than you might as well get off, have a nice day.

    Five Line Records

  • @TheJoker0020 ROTFLMFAO...Well....just putting this out there but DAMNNNNN I am glad you don't " run a studio" around me seeing as how you do not know proper spelling or punctuation ...LMAO You sir are a joke of the highest order...PS also if you were intelligent enough to " run a studio" then most humans would think quite possibly you would have enough brains to make one ounce of sense

  • @TheJoker0020 and as a final PS there loser boy...If you're going to try to pretend you " run a studio" and tht you did the first album with the animals as you claim....THEN... you might want to go and complete the lie and not use the age of 19 as your age.....LOSERRRRRRRRRRRR

  • @TheJoker0020 haha, you did the Animals first album? Sure about that? Coz, I was there and like I didn't see you.... rofl.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=cVpeXtBM-Rk

  • .youtube.com/watch?v=cVpeXtBM-Rk&feature=related

  • if you look for the sam sham and the pharos you will find that the voice is them. the animals never sang this. unless history is wrong it was only done by sam sham and the pharos

  • @steelthfighter sorry to burst your bubble BUT...The Animals did do a copy of this song...so maybe you should go back and look a little bit deeper into your history books.....PS,,, you're going to have a hard time telling me I am wrong especially with my B.A. in music history specifically the history of rock and roll from early 1950's up till the early 1980's when there was no longer a definition of true rock and roll and as a sideline of mine working for a classic rock station here in NY

  • wow they deleted my comment lmao wow

  • @thesmogmankills What a cool degree to have! I've got a lame psychology degree..:(

  • @steelthfighter that might just about work as proof...dont try to tell a person who majored in history of music specifically the history of rock that they didnt do a cover of this song

  • @thesmogmankills The link you put is not working. Anyway steelthfighter is right, this is Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, even though i'm not sure about Burdon & Co. versioning this.

Don't think you're the only one listening to rock here, cuz there's always someone somewhere (with a big nose, who knows) and who trips you up and laughs when you fall :D

  • @javillorentem wow you're quick to talk but slow to comprehend... guess its my turn to laugh as YOU fall.. please show me where I once said that this wasnt Sam The Sham???... what I said was I was sorry to burst his bubble but The Animals did do a cover of this song I never once stated that this wasnt Sam The Sham now did you see those words typed out one single time??..so now take 10 steps back and read before you speak

  • God, I love this song.
