Sorry, I'm a little confused by your writing. Here's what Wikipedia says:

I'm guessing this film will start roughly where the 2nd left off, but there still should be /some/ things different looking, time-wise. [Maybe vehicles have new looks.]

I can't wait for the third one, but something's been bugging me a little: if the third one is going to be set 23 years after the second, shouldn't there be a /mildly/ futuristic feel to JC3? [23 years is a good chunk of time.] Or is the idea to keep the scenery out in the middle of nowhere so the looks don' t really matter?

Maybe personal weapon power will have increased to the point where the Creeper /can/ be killed.
