I've been to Bristol for two weeks and it was such an amazing experience! I made so many new friends there! I highly recommend Bristol....this city is amazing.
I'm now at home for about a month and I still miss all people i met there!
I lived Bristol for 3 months. I was an Erasmus student. British are nice people, but the UK is ugly and depressing, and specially, the houses are horrible and dirty, they have fitted carpets everywhere, even in the pubs and toilets!, no offense though.
@TheReolus Shut up you idiot-_- no offense but you are completely wrong.
Just thought I should point that out before something thinks you actually know anything.
In all my life here, I have never ever seen carpets in toilets, yes in parts of pubs, depressing and ugly? we have historic buildings all around? grass, tress, all sorts of things that are colourful and amazing to see.
God knows where you went, maybe you went to the wrong country, I wouldn't put it past you.
@Cokecakepopcorn Yes England is depressing and ugly, there are some nice historical buildings, but apart from that, the rest feels depressing and ugly, and the food is bad. Try living for a while in other countries, specially mediterranean ones or France, and then compare. Fitted carpets are everywhere, that means dirtiness everywhere. You guys have other good things, like very good and top-notch companies, a good army, but definetely the quality of life in England sucks. No offense.
I lived for 3 months in Bristol, so I think I actually know something. Have you ever lived in another country? I'm sure you haven't, just on holidays, which isn't really living. I'm just comparing the quality of life of England against other countries, I don't hate british or anything, I just try to be honest. But you are like many british, that would never tell anything bad about their country, very arrogant.
@TheReolus Jeez you are one stuck up cunt, right, so you lived in ONE part of England, not 3months in UK , 3months in Bristol, the north and south and east and west all around? Wales? no, so shut the fuck up before saying the UK or England is depressing and ugly, just because you some how have not found in your life that you can clean carpets.
God knows where you actually stayed while in Bristol, maybe a sewer? yeah, they are dirty places.
@TheReolus So, I am like many British? because I won't say anything bad about my country? yeah because you asked me so much.
Oh wait, you just said no offense but England is ugly and depressive.
I have loads of things I dislike about England, but the buildings here, the sights here are far from ugly or depressing, if you find England depressing I am sure you would go insane in parts of Russia where their are just tower blocks, the same colour, without any parks or lawns, or just trees.
@TheReolus You literally have no clue what you are talking about, you have been in one part of England, you have CLEARLY not looked around, I mean, just on a bus ride around, I see amazing buildings, beautiful houses, statues, parks, shops, Bristol is very colourful, open your eyes.
To point out again, you can clean carpets, so why do you think carpets = dirt, really what the fuck are you on about? you know all materials get dirt on them? Google "Cleaning" you will be shocked, your filthy pig.
@Cokecakepopcorn " I am sure you would go insane in parts of Russia where their are just tower blocks, the same colour, without any parks or lawns, or just trees."
You can actually find the same in some parts of Bristol, but not tower blocks definetely. You can't wash fitted carpets (in the washing machine), it's the most horrible thing I've ever seen. I mean england has good things, but the english are dirty, and having a diary shower is not common in England, for example.
@Cokecakepopcorn I saw the best parts of Bristol, where rich people live, and is the only place where it's not that much depressing. But the houses and districts of the "normal" people were ugly and depressing. Maybe you should travel more and find out why people say this (I'm not the only one). Also the way houses are made, even if they look good, is shit, and most of them were old. Crazy stairs, fitted carpets, no "persianas" to sleep.... Even the best district of London, Chelsea, sucks.
I also traveled to Tourquey, or however it's spelled, Totnes, London.... So I can say I visited more than one part of England definetely. And I've seen pictures of Scotland, Ireland, etc and they look alike.
What I hated the most about england is that people are dirty, we had an english friend, and when we enterd his house, it was the most horrible thing we've ever seen. Messy and dirty, like a stable. And in the 2 houses I lived with a host family, happend the same.
Certainly, I know not everyone is as dirty as this friend of us, but the all the houses I visited were also dirty, not as much as this guy, that was sick in my opinion (he told us we could pee in his garden, and even shit if we wanted to, and he had the shits of his dog in the garden, that stinked).
I wish you could see how clean houses here are, you would be amazed. Probably you'd think we are mad, but that's what we think when we enter to an english house.
Don't feel offended, it's just about culture. English culture is superior when it comes to work, for example, but Mediterranean cultures have better food and are cleaner. (Not the streets, inside the houses I mean).
Also, the funniest thing people usually do in England, is to get drunk in the pub drinking more and more beer, which feels quite depressing once you've done it twice. It's the lifestyle man. I understand you defend your culture, but definetely I think the whole english lifestyle is a bit depressing. Also many people would tell you the weather sucks, because it's never sunny. I like rain so I can't agree with this statement, but usually english people hate rain and cloudy days, as you well know.
