  • it is a female dum ass!!!!!

  • Male and femals can both have short fins. Short finned males, are called plakat%(spelled wrong) the only way to know for sure is if she has a little white dot, looks like,an egg. On her tummy. If she has it its a female if nit its a malee

  • It's a female if it has a white spot and shorter fins so it's a female ;)

  • females stay like little so it is a female

  • usually the male has more brilliant colors and the female not so much

  • female! Just cuz they are male and female doesnt mean they dont fight! The male will dominate the female til all she does is hide, or gets killed if it isnt mating time! People really should do research animals before they get them! And what ever store you got this from better educate themselves as well!

  • the red one is the femail the way u can tell is by thare fins femals have smaler shorter fins and mals have long pritty fins and mals are usly mor prittyer then girls

  • thats a female cause the tale is smaller male has a bigger tail

  • female because i have one that look the same as your

  • female beacuse it has a short tail

  • it's a female. I have a male and a female and they are both beautiful!

I also have minnos but the chewd at the females fins so we bought another tank for the betta fish that keeps them seperate I plan on keeping them seperate until she heals. My aunt said that him flaring his fins and gills like that is just his way of flerting.

  • the guys gay ha ha

  • @TheBettalover123 how do you explain that? exactly your wrong lol and dont even bother replying because i cba wasting my time on you.

  • @soulstreak what it was funny didnt mean to offend u and why respond to my comment a million other people said he had a gay voice ok well not a million but why me lay off and attack them u know im kidding

  • she's a fancy female vieltail she is so beautiful

  • the one that in the small tank is a female the one thats outside the tank is a male see male have the bigger tails the females have the shorter tail

  • yes it is a female, bettas still fight any fish sot it don't matter if it male or female

  • looks like a female to me. been keeping them for 5+yrs but i got no vid for proof so up to you to believe ..

  • i have the same problem, I have them separated and was about to let them out together but the female went straight to the container the male is in and they both do that show off thing.. I hope they don't hurt one another....

  • there is a way to tell a difference, females have short fins, and males have long beautiful fins

  • female i have one JUST like her but shes a bit bigger

  • I'm pretty sure it's a female because females usually have shorter fins than males. The male is doing that because it is a new fish and he probably feels threatened or something. He's just not used to the new one. I have a male and a female and my mae does that too.

  • If the red one is alot smaller it is a female you can tell its a male there bigger aand there fins are more flutterly if thats a word welll i think its a female and also i put my female with my male and the male killed her ;**( -tear-

  • It takes a long time for them to get used to each other. You don't ant either of them to feel threatened.

  • @sillybandz123456789 The male killed the female because you aren't supposed to keep them together. A small group of females can be kept in the same tank but a male must always be alone or with fish that aren't bettas. You can't even have a male with a female. They will always kill each other. Even when breeding you only keep them together for the act of spawning then you split them up..

  • its a female because it doesnt have a long tail males will have a long tail

  • Hello I believe its a female, but if you want to make sure its a female look for a white spot between her ventral fins, if she has it than she is definitely a female. Also the male is flaring at her because hes trying to show off.

  • @Santongo thanks alot and i knew he did that but didnt know he did it that much and when i went back to the shop they said it might be a young male but thanks alot for the help

  • @Santongo I have a similar prob. I am pretty sure that my fish is a female. But as soon as my male sees her he goes berserk. He gets really aggitated and chases her around the tank so I split them up. He has started to build a bubble nest but I am dont know if he's trying to impress her or kill her. He has an aggressive past. Please answer.
