Snowy owls soar south from Arctic in rare mass migration
An especially plentiful supply of lemmings last season likely led to a population boom among owls that resulted in each breeding pair hatching as many as seven offspring
He said snowy owl populations are believed to be in an overall decline, possibly because a changing climate has lessened the abundance of vegetation like grasses that lemmings rely on.

@Nightperversionn I wonder then, why have temperatures been dropping over the last 15 years? Why are they lying and saying it's warmer when we all know it's not?
BTW: Here in Florida, we've had the first above average winter in five years! The news said we'll be 2 degrees below a record. So I looked up in what years today was warmer then this year. 34 years it has been warmer:1 day in 90s, 3 days in 80s, 1 in 70s, 2 in 50s, 5 in the 40s, 4 in 30s, 5 in the 10s, 6 in 1900s 4 in 1890s 3 in 1870s
@Nightversionn I could tell its warming by all the cool summers and extremely cold winters we have experienced in the last 5 years! If it gets any warmer the Manatees will go extinct from freezing to death!

Did global warming destroy my hometown?

In the aftermath of the Joplin tornado, citizens, reporters and government officials scrutinised the warning system and promised to find out what went wrong. Was this tornado, by far the most devastating natural disaster the area had ever experienced, part of a pattern? Was climate change causing this insane weather?
@Nightversionn Why YES! You see the winters have been more sever because the planet has been on a cooling cycle for the last ten or more years. If you studied REAL science instead of reading propaganda you would know this! Its not AGW, its NATURE!
After initializing and parameterizing hundreds of unknown factors, inserting divergent proxy data and ignoring any difficult natural forcing factors, we ran hundreds of simulations until we obtained the results we wanted–an ensemble of meaningless projected results, which we then averaged. We homogenized, adjusted and used the liberally unprincipled component method, and produced a new set of hockey sticks, giving a very robust prediction (90% likelihood) that we are all being totally screwed.
Please type into Google "Digging into the core: The cold truth about CO2" to see my article on global warming and why the IPCC have grossly exaggerated the predicted warming from CO2.

@Nightperversionn What website do you get your propaganda from? I know you're not smart enough to compile this garbage on your own, where do you get it from? Or does this come right from your AGW gods?
Google 'evolution' and all kinds of crank (creationists) web-site crop up. Industry knows how to get their sites to the top of a google search; they have ad-agencies who specialize in mis-leading the public (Merchants of Doubt). Try google scholar instead, if you're serious.
@KnightBiologist You're point? Are you suggest that in spite of the FACT that the AGW cult has been caught countless times committing scientific fraud, admitted and attempted to rationalize their acts, that their models have been correct .05% of the time and the "So called deniers" have correct 80% of the time, since their predictions have proven wrong time after time and then they've been caught trying to destroy the evidence of their wacky predictions: are you suggesting we believe them?
@TAMPADOC64 I'm suggesting that google scholar will return peer-reviewed science as opposed to revenue & advertising driven generic google searches. That's all. And I'm only suggesting it to anyone who is serious about looking at what the science says and not what the corporate ad-agencies want to tell us. So, I'm not really talking to you. Peace.
@KnightBiologist It’s obvious you have on blinders to reality. The AGW cult blocked any peer review that opposed their fraud. Further there has been hundreds of billions of dollars poured into their pockets to flood the market with there select (meaning they chose who reviewed it) peer review material. So suggesting people look at peer reviewed material is like suggesting reading government pamphlets in Nazi Germany. We all know what they say, but the truth is beneath the surface.
@KnightBiologist BTW I noticed you like using the pre-programmed talking point about the "corporate ad-agencies". Do you know that the original funders of the entire AGW movement (before it was even a movement) was British Petroleum and Royal Dutch Shell? That's right, they paid millions to promote this concept before you even knew about it!
Why is that? Why would the two largest oil companies that lease most of their wells off shore want oil prices higher for lower production?
@TAMPADOC64 I'm suggesting that google scholar will return peer-reviewed science as opposed to revenue & advertising driven generic google searches. That's all. And I'm only suggesting it to anyone who is serious about looking at what the science says and not what the corporate ad-agencies want to tell us. So, I'm not really talking to you. Peace.
@TAMPADOC64 or why don't you open your eyes and look out the front door and see the changes that have already happened, oh, I forgot you're a denier, the only diehard left
@Nightperversionn When I open my eyes and look out the door I see the first average winter in years. For the first time in four years the palm tree and the manatees aren't freezing to death. It's hilarious how you were preaching how warm winters would be a few years agon, then you started blaming the cold winters on warming (crazy talk:warmer is colder???) now you're blaming anything that happens on AGW.

AP-An international team of scientists says it has figured out how to slow global warming: Stop focusing so much on carbon dioxide. They say the key is to reduce emissions of two powerful and fast-acting causes of global warming — methane and soot.
Two dozen scientists from around the world ran computer models of 400 different existing pollution control measures and came up with 14 methods that attack methane and soot.

The motions of the massive oceans where heat is moved between deep layers and the surface provides variability on time scales from years to centuries. Dr Richard Lindzen:
“For small changes in climate associated with tenths of a degree, there is no need for any external cause. The earth is never exactly in equilibrium. The motions of the massive oceans where heat is moved between deep layers and the surface provides variability on time scales from years to centuries. Recent work (Tsonis et al, 2007), suggests that this variability is enough to account for all climate change since the 19th Century.”
