Lillias White was not in the original cast ... she eventually replaced Kecia Lewis-Evans as Asaka, Mother of the Earth. Both actresses are fantastic, but Kecia created the part and is heard ont the cast album.

No name. It's a little girl who is scared by a storm. The villagers tell her the story to calm her. She also plays young Ti Moune for part of "We Dance".

I did the Jr. version of this musical and its very different and I played Andrea and it was fun. This musical is like a breath of fresh air!!

In my opinion, Asaka should have gotten a Tony nomination as well as Mama. Ti Moune is one of the weaker female roles in the show. The monologue that Asaka has in the end about, "And the gods cried..." gets me everytime, you need a powerful actress. And Mama has to sing, "A Part of Us." Andrea is even more of a badass than Ti Moune.
