X-Men: First Class I do have to disagree with Thor. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't engaging like Cap. I felt all the characters in Captain America were more relevant and likeable. Plus I was more impressed with Evans than Hemsworth cause many doubted him, and he pulled it off. He's much better wielding shield than a torch.

Hey Grace, I saw War Horse last night and I COMPLETELY agree with you. This movie reminded me so much of epic movies such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gone With the Wind, in terms of the cinematography and just the feel of it. I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more buzz. I also think it's one of Spielberg's best films, and that's saying a LOT. It's also my favorite film of 2011, and it's pretty underrated in my opinion. :)

In regards to War Horse "This is how Hollywood used to make them." Agreed, and that is what I liked about the film. Unashamedly sentimental, tragic and beautiful. I don't know whether I'd put it a number 1, but it'd be in my top 5.

Thor was my least favorite of the pre avengers movies... I say that sparingly because I love all of them, but to me it wasn't consistent.... The comedy thru me off a little bit.. but it was still a great movie.

Respectable list. I have to say that the one I liked the most was Midnight in Paris. I know Woody Allen always do well in Southamerica and Europe, but this time this film was on commercial cinemas here (southamerica) for over 2 months. Insane! I have to disagree with Pirates... I literally slept for like 20 minutes and I don't think I had ever fell asleep in a theatre before. I will deffinitely have to check war horse when it premieres here. Happy new year Grace!

I really didn't take to Rio, but I agree the villainous parrakeet was awesome!

The villain (Loki) was also what elevated Thor above a nice waste of time into something truly memorable - and cudos to Helmsworth for managing to make Thor un-cheesy. Something I thought couldn't be done.

I have seen War Horse twice now and I was blown away as well. I have also read the book and it is an easy read and the movie was so faithful to the integrity of the heart of the book.

And Spielberg was a genius :)

My favorite character was the British soldier who went into No Man's land after Joey. Irish Actor, Toby Kebbell.

Drive did have a brilliant score, but I found Basement Jaxx's score in Attack the Block and The Chemical Brothers' music in Hanna to be better. I like the use of electric type soundtracks in action movies, it just pumps more intensity into scene.
