Also the reason the wiring degrades is because MB decided to use bio-degradable insulate for the wiring. It's a common problem on the 90-95 or so MB's. It goes for the the other engines also. I've owned my 92 500 for 4 years with great luck and 80k miles later. It now has 145k

If you buy the same car but from MY 96 and up you get the parking sensors and you won't have the wires insulation problem anymore and you get the facelifted version too. This problem was for ALL Mercedes built in 1993 to 1995 more or less.
