  • Was this music popular world-wide after Sangre y Arena (Blood and Sand)? Was it popular before? I submit that it was not popular until Yepes artistically imposed it on Forbidden Games. In fact, I believe there is a consensus that it was Yepes that popularized this music. He claims to have composed it himself. Who has a better claim? No-one IMO.

Nice playing - thanks for sharing.

  • @drewdavis58 Can you please explain to me How can Yepes claim he wrote it for forbidden games if it was already in blood and sand?

  • @VICTORIANDREAMER80 With pleasure: niether I nor Yepes claims that the Romance was written for the film "Forbidden Games". As you can see in a video on my channel, Yepes said he composed the Romance in 1934 at the age of 7, 6-7 years before "Blood and Sand".
