You must not know how the system works. The police have PLENTY of evidence against Casey, probably comparable to the evidence in the OJ case. They want to make sure the charges stick and they get a conviction so they are waiting until they are sure the case is as strong as it can possibly be. Once they file charges the clock starts ticking and they only have a certain number of days to bring the accused to trial. They are being very careful because they don't want this one getting away.

As an additional note, it's not hard to understand where bad feelings towards the protesters come from; some people agree with you on that front, some do not. Regardless of what anyone thinks of them, they have absolutely nothing to do with Casey's guilt or innocence, nor her family's. They are simply people reacting to the horrible nature of the crime and the outrageous behaviour of both Casey and her family. Agree with their methods or not, guilt or innocence is not their baby, so to speak.

If you listen to the audio recordings released this past week of the police interrogation at Universal Studios it is clear the cops tried very HARD to do their jobs. But the liar wouldn't cooperate with them. So the cops put the liar where they felt the liar belonged: in jail. Then some idiot with $50,000 popped the liar out. So how do you see the COPS as being at fault? Do you perhaps see anyone else in this scenario besides the cops as being to blame?

You must not know how the system works. The police have PLENTY of evidence against Casey, probably comparable to the evidence in the OJ case. They want to make sure the charges stick and they get a conviction so they are waiting until they are sure the case is as strong as it can possibly be. Once they file charges the clock starts ticking and they only have a certain number of days to bring the accused to trial. They are being very careful because they don't want this one getting away.
