The 18.7 megapixels is about the same resolution that the old pro 35mm film cameras used to make if you were to convert it to digital, apparently. That is maybe why the dslr`s now make images that look so good because we have the accuracy and clarity of digital plus the resolution of the old style cameras.

Definitely color correction had been used . And u can find some type of soft glow added in corner of the screen so that u receive a half sun light, and used shadow to highlight the black . basically u won't get more black ...

i think even if there's no color correction, there must be particular picture style setting he used. bcz it got bit flat look and the dynamic range quite high for default picture styles.

@PkNils die Balken oben und unten kann man ganz einfach im Schnittprogramm hineinsetzen. zum beipsiel durch eine letterbox. Sony Vegas hat einen Filter der heißt Cookie Cutter, da kann man dann oben un unten solche Balken einsetzen. das ganze soll quasi, etwas mehr nach kino (21:9) aussehen.

Endlich mal jemand der die Kamera benutzen kann. Ich habe vor mir die gleiche zu kaufen. Aber viele Amateur Videos lassen mich an der Qualität der 550d zweifeln, besonders bei schnellen Schwenkungen. Hast Du Rolling Shutter oder Verzerrungs- Probleme bei schnellen Bewegungen während der Aufnahmen. Ich mein damit auch wenn die Kamera steht und sich ein Objekt schnell bewegt. Danke

ive never understood letter boxing? in fact it aggravates me...why do we spend ridiculous money on our flat screen tv's only to have people letterbox the movie or videos? You taking 35% of my screen away from me.

@gruponemesis It makes it look cinematic. That's it. Also, real film cameras' censors shoot to 2.35:1 aspect ratio.

@MrMalthus80 Takes lots of practice and a lot of trial and error. I've just recently been able to achieve some nice color on my videos. It takes time.
