Even this crap has been out sourced. What a dumbass, how can you compare the Garmin GPS to a simple HR monitor. One of the worst comparison's I've seen.
Even comparing the Garmin to the Nano is crap, since you have to calibrate the nano and it's not as accurate.
Question for experts: If I were to run a large circle loop using the Garmin 305 to navigate, at what point in the circle would the trackback feature tell me that going forward to the finish would be the best direction to get there rather than turning around and retracing my steps? I just had this happen. The reverse told me 9 miles, but I knew the start wasn't that far forward in the loop.
Garmin and Suunto are shit.. Suunto is just bad, Garmin only has GPS to calculate the distance and we all know how GPS work in bad weather... Polar has the footpod which gives you the speed, distance and candence rain or shine.. Nothing compares to polar in the heartrate monitor watches, they are just above all the competition.
in other words, you work for polar / you only had the polar watch.
because if you wouldn't be, you would know that 1) the foot pod is not accurate. 2) gps works fine in almost all conditions. 3)Garmin has the option to use a foot pod and 4) it has more functions than the polar. 5) cheaper+better = winner.
only thing polar beats garmin is looks, but I can live with that.
polar has a gps also and i dont think you have seen many polar running watches if you think that they dont have that many features.. I dont work for the company i just had many polars and like 2 garmins and i tought they were horrible..
Thanks for the great review. I have also reviewed Heart Rate Monitors and have them for sale at my site- see my profile for more info and a link. Thanks!
