Anybody who has never seen this guy on stage before needs to make a trip to Nashville to see him play, and it will be worth every penny you pay to get there. Simo is the most electrifying guitarist I've ever seen on stage...this guy will knock your out of your seat everytime with his monster skills and stage presence!
You seriously don't know what you are missing until you see this guy TEAR IT UP on guitar.
Just got back from Nashville. I heard the Grand ol Opry at the old Ryman location which was fine. Then I wandered through the back door of Robert's and almost fell over. JD Simo was smokin' red and white hot on the Telecaster!! Best live guitar I've ever heard. Thurs thru Sat 6-10 pm or so at least in Dec. 2010. AMAZING!! Tommy H.

Great guitar player, but take a close look at the bass player. His name is Dave Roe and he played in Johnny Cash's band both in the studio and on the road from 1992 until Cash's death in 2003. You can find his bio by going to Google and searching for Dave Roe. There's a very nice story in there about his first encounter with Johnny Cash. Oh yeah, Truck Drivin Man is a damn good song!
go see them when you're in Nashville. They are a blast. Gets the best session musicians in town.
