what happened to everclear? they used to be an awsome band back in the good old days. but this sounds like a mix of sunflowers and normal like you and some of their even more forgettable stuff from the last couple of records. it also has some of his mose misoginistic and 'hateful' lyrics of an act desperate to be mainstream- ('makes me wana beat down on you'?!?! you old romantic)so woman hating, is grandpapy Art trying desperatly to be down with the emo kids?
god forbid i should ever misinterpret an everclear lyric. i suppose since he's not written a decent one since 'afterglow' he's above criticism. i'm sorry, the one lyric i quoted was slightly off, but when what he has written is nothing but along the lines of women are rubbish and uses images where the woman were the 'evil bitch' (paris, heather mills) it's pretty much old grandpapy Art shouting at ghosts. polish your gun Art. hate them all. a twleve year old is just an emo waiting to happen.

But anyways, you're a girl so of course you wouldn't agree with the lyrics. But I've been through exactly what he's talking about in this song and it kinda helped me get through it, but you know, if you would rather call it "banal" go ahead. I agree their older stuff is better, but everyone runs out of greatness.
