  • Oh my goodness, this is so cool!! O_o I love it!

  • brilliant - i blew the sound chip on my c64 and then lost all the fiels and eventually the cassette audi taoppe with the recordings on got crapped on...

Still.. they exist only in my head now.

  • @BabylonWhore666 @BabylonWhore666 your cassette situation sounds a lot like gearslutz _ com/board/rap-hip-hop-engineering-production/185159-somebody-sh-ed-my-mpc3000.html

  • Commodore machines and their emulations can be used to create some fantastically sophisticated and unique soundtracks. And this miracle of uniqueness doesn't have to cost much or anything at all.

Free VSTi and the likes of the MSSIAH can do the job for a fraction of the cost of new whizzo software.

  • does anybody know any other music programs like this that run on a computer because im trying to remember some but I cant thing of any.

  • @goldtaills Old school? Fasttracker, Qbase, etc :) You can use Dos Emulator or Dos Box I think :)

  • i want to buy a music programme for the C64, any suggestions?

  • @Tubofluxar

MSSIAH/Prophet64 is by far the easiest for beginners. But if you've worked with trackers like FastTracker, you may be able to pick up on some of the other C64 music suites. I recommend starting out with is GoatTracker, which is free, and has an excellent community, or find a native tracker somewhere else- there are tons, you'll find one.

    Good luck!

  • OK thnx!

  • When i buy prophet i record it! Too beauty this tune!

  • search MSSIAH in google.... Prophet is not produced anymore...MSSIAH is its replacement....with MIDI :)

  • I already have it ;)

  • Is there a site where I can download this in MP3 ?

  • @haxorseidis there was a link on the prophet64 forums somewhere, p.m. me if you cant find it as i have a copy on mp3 if you want,

  • This music is nice.

I use plugin VST c64 pro and dr Sid in Fruity Loops. I used this plugins only in mix music, bocause originally Sid music composing in tracker (3 channel).

  • The SID chip does produce some awesome music. The Pokey chip from the Atari 8-bit computers does a good job too. ^.^ I'm trying to find a composer for the Commodore 64 emulator, but most of the ones I found are really complicated and never seem to have a help file included when you need it. I tried Goattracker, but you have to program the instruments yourself. Some of the music composers, though, don't have a very good set of drums and effects. Any suggestions? Great video btw.

  • Try starting out by loading an existing tune, clearing the tracks and playing with the instruments that were made for that tune.

  • I love your song!Keep it up!

  • Brilliant. Thanks for bringing back the beautiful sound!

  • i can't wait to order a C64 MSSIAH. the SID chip has got to be one of the most wonderful things ever created.

  • This is juice! Fantastic sounds and song. Somehow it reminds me about some FutureFreak songs :)

  • Heaven!

  • I compose on a Gameboy but this makes me want to start C64 composing.

  • Very nicely done :) I'm looking at getting one of those MSSIAH carts ;0

  • my friend links two c64 and composed tunes for two of them (6fm channels)

  • thank You for immortal c64 chip tune :)

  • Please tell me there's an MP3?

  • excellent tune!

you got a proper mp3 of this?

  • I thought the WAV channel on LSDJ sounded good, this is fucking mental.

    Great work.

You've made me want to now start composing on a c64 :)

  • The c64 has a beautiful sound.

  • Man, this tune is superb.

Is there an audio file/documentation to this song? Is there perhaps a *gasp!* .sid file?

  • Two .sid files :P

  • SID6581/8580 FTW. :D

  • really nice

  • Are you using the Sid 2 Sid hardware or is this all on just one SID chip?

  • I love this.....it really relaxed and chilled me out.

  • Fascinating!

  • Very nice work

  • is there a version of that song playable in a mac or linux sid player?

  • The best c64 track I've heard. Real soothing. Thank you so much for sharing!

  • ke cañaso la commodore

  • Really great work! love it

  • This is nice, but I don't see how this is better than Stereo Sidplayer that came out 20+ years ago?

  • I'm thinking of selling my C64 and Prophet, but seeing this again made me think to keep it.

  • I'd buy it if you're selling! :)

  • @Tibbon sing!!! i alredy sell it for take out the m.i.s.s.i.a.h

  • @Tibbon yea keep it

  • Video Game Sound

  • freaking ... great!

  • Utrolig bra, takk skrenos for videoen.

  • Nice C64 track! Thanks for sharing!

  • Oh sweet grapes of yes. I just ordered my Prophet yesterday...soo excited!

    Great track!

  • INTERESSANTE!! Non conoscevo.Mi documenterò in merito.

    Bravo !!

  • Where can I get an mp3 of this? SID chip rules!

  • Try the Prophet64 forum and then look in the Songs department.

  • Wait, I thought you couldn't combine two major SID versions?

  • You can't combine a 6581 and a 8580 without voltage regulators, but it CAN be done.

The SID2SID board on the Prophet64 website let's you add any SID of the same type as already inside your C64. And what's even nicer, if you have a broken/spare C64, you hardly have to buy any components.

  • how do you get a C64 with 'duel sids' - ie 2 x SID chips ?

  • look at the prophet 64 site.. you need another sid + a special board you mount both on.. =)

  • incredible bit of c64 kit....must get one

  • Very nice....Keep the Scene Alive!!
