On youtube, there is a masterclass of der holle rach being taught by none other than Maria Callas. It is very useful. Also I don't know because I'm not there to see but in order to enhance your breathing, you must breathe from the abdomen if you want a stronger tone especially to reach a high F in queen of the night. Also you must not ever strain, because that rips your vocal cords slightly. Another advise, don't sing the dificult songs too much because this can cause problems later on.
My grandmother was an opera singer and is now currently one of the worlds best singing teachers and I also know a man who used to work with Convent Garden Royal Opera House and was the teacher of the Queen Elizabeth,And i'm offering their teaching (all opera singers have teachers even well into their carreer) because your wife has a wonderful voice which should not be wasted! She is far better than current opera singers who had caught fame like Anne Nebtrebko and others!!!!It made my mother cry!
Tell her that she must perform with such a beautiful voice such as this. Believe me I've heard many opera singers and she is better than quite alot of them
