  • No matter how many times i listen to his voice i get goosebumps, his voice reaches deep down inside of you and pulls out all sorts of emotions :)

  • great, great song.

  • In that land there's a winter. In that winter's a day. In that day there's a moment when it all goes your way.

  • This video went viral on Ulaanbaatar

  • hes got his own kinda cadence in his voice. love it :)

  • I have been listening through his albums a lot. To me this is potentially my favorite song of his, it's the one that springs first to mind anyways. Incredible fingerpicking and lyrics in true old singer-songwriter fashion.

  • @ksdmd14 Your an alcoholic. I wrote that one year ago, how did you even find it?

  • He is such a talented songwriter/singer. A true artist of words and music, with tales to tell. Love, love, love.

  • I was looking for other music but this is 100 times better!

    and I am a bit short ;p

  • what the link for the world's tallest man meeting the world's shortest man. it's freaking adorable. sorry, that has nothing to do with this song, which by the way, is also freaking amazing, as usual!

  • Hung brought me here. LOL THAT SHOW'S AWESOME

  • What genre would this be considered?

  • @mlbgirl98

Folk would probably be the best category.

  • exactly stop comparing artists, just enjoy them instead

  • He moves me to tears with goosebumps on my arms and a craving for some folk.

  • Beautiful <3

  • This is what I call music.

  • does it piss anyone else off that all his songs follow the same pattern in the beginning?

  • @natethepurplepirate you mean with a treble clef?

  • This man will make me cry one day.

  • 2:17 he sings "forever alone"...I pictured the meme and lolled

seriously though, such a fantastic song by such a fantastic artist

  • @griftersband what's a "meme"?

  • @Flexheble you must be new here

  • @Philiacity I see what you did there...

  • So glad they played one of his songs at Trivia last week! My team didn't know the answer, but we learned about a great musician!

  • Bob Dylan's son? lol

  • stop comparing this dude with bob fucking dylan.

  • @Ajebuje ok we can compare him with bob dylan, even kristian compares himself to bob dylan saying 'i used to listen to a lot of bob dylan, no shit' yeah.. whatever, but he is unique in his own way too

  • @Ajebuje AGREED. Mainly because the only similarity to me between them is that they are both amazing but other than that i think they are complete opposites. Completely unique voices and styles. Bob is beautifully simple. simple vocal melodies, timing/progressions, and Dr. Suess style lyrics. Kristians beautifully complex with his picking patterns and progressions, very unique off timed vocal melodies with symbolic lyrics much different from the way dylan wrote his.

  • Best Song ever!

  • ragged old voice...love it!!!

  • Sounds like a good version of Dylan's voice.

  • @JonnieBoy32 Nobody can beat Bob Dylan <3 But I agree, he's amazing :)

  • Why does all new folk have to be compared to Dylan? He isnt the be all end all of the genera damn it. Been around for centuries and will always continue.

  • @Bo0meRs1 because bob dylan created everything

  • @heydudecali43 If by everything you mean, sloppy singing, songs that never ever seems to end AND messing it all up with to much harmonica, then thats exactly what he created... ;D don't get me wrong bob is alright though...

  • @ThelastJohnSilver Haha, dont forget his fear of bridges =P

  • @GuitarGroogns very true indeed :D

  • My Comments were "This guy is not Bob Dylan or Mumford and Sons (Who the fuck are they anyway). However, he is a massively talented artist in his own right. Can we now cut the bloody silly comparisons please!"

The twats replying "don't you know who Bob Dylan is etc etc". Of course I fucking know who he is.....you must all be fucking Americans as you don't understan irony. I was mearly pointing out that any comparisons between Tallest Man and Dylan is pointless, they are not the same.

  • @GarnetNW Haha, I love that you assume he's an American. We don't understand irony, sarcasm, or subtleties AT ALL. Nice catch.

  • @GarnetNW It doesn't matter what country your from to tell that this guys is just simply AMAZING!!! Thats pretty universal.

  • REPLAY RAPE !

  • this song always makes me bawl. it is the most beautiful thing

  • @moozle700 Agreed, but one thing is that Bob Dylan didnt have Bob Dylans music for inspiration =P

  • @GuitarGroogns ah, but he did have Woody Guthrie...and Odetta...and Leadbelly... :) Everybody's gotta come from somewhere.

  • @moozle700 Nah.

  • i know people will hate me for saying this but , he's a better singer and guitar player than dylan , and his lyrics definatley rival dylan's. give this guy a few years and he is better.......

  • @jericho4590 Nah. He's great, but lyrically its not as close as people are making it out to be.

  • @checkster12 truth.. bob dylan has social commentary in his music, mostly kristian's seems.. dunno personal

  • forever alone...

  • I'm not against pirating, per se, but if you steal from this man, me and my posse of 130,000 will find you.

  • This guy is not Bob Dylan or Mumford and Sons (Who the fuck are they anyway). However, he is a massively talented artist in his own right. Can we now cut the bloody silly comparisons please!

  • @GarnetNW how can you not know who bob dylan is? dumb bastard

  • @GarnetNW The hell, how do you know know one of the greatest musicians of the folk revolution? Bob Dylan did a lot more than you know towards the music of today. Don't speak ignorantly.

  • I've said this before.

Bob Dylans meets Mumford and Sons.

    Simply amazing, poetic and manly.

  • Thanks for keeping good music alive :) <3

  • <3

  • Even though I love my rock music most days, there is always a special place in my heart for this man and his heartfelt lyrics. His music creates a feeling that I just can't replace or describe. <3

  • where's the love button?

  • just perfect.

  • the tallest man on earth and joanna newsom need to have a baby

it will have the most beautiful voice ever heard on earth

  • It's not really my style of music, but it's quite obvious that he's extremely talented and has a very good/raspy voice for such a little guy. I can understand how others may like his music very much.

  • A great human being.

  • just shut up and listen.

  • just shut up and listen

  • I have never in my entire life heard a more poetic lyric that doesn't require hours of thinking to be understood. It truly brings tears to my eyes to hear this spark of musical divinity.

  • 3 people are too short to understand

  • @waubcat1 HAHA GENIUS!

  • More music should be like this these days.

    Amazing as always.

  • He makes me proud of being swedish.

  • @TheSuperMuseNo1

    "Same here. :)"

  • @TheSuperMuseNo1 I'm already proud to may share the same continent with this man.

  • @Turbobread1 Even though he's obviously influenced by Dylan and that genre of folk singer songwriters, it takes originality and creativity as well as thought to write those symbolic philosophical lyrics. He's simply using a familiar style to convey his own message; Mozart certainly didn't invent classical music, but its undeniable that he made great contributions to an already established method of musical expression.

  • @savethetrees433 I think you need to listen to the music of Roscoe Holcomb...

  • @EstethicsUninvited Funny you mention him cause Kristian has said himself that Holcomb is a better comparison :D AND Holcomb inspired Dylan...

  • @ThelastJohnSilver I happen to know this too, since I've met Kristian

  • @Boot724 At first I thought your post was going to be meaningful until the second sentence. Tallest Man on Earth is influenced by Dylan - true - but he's influenced more so by the artists that influenced Dylan, i.e., Bascom Lamar Lunsford, Roscoe Holcomb, Mississippi John Hurt and the rest of the Anthology of American Folk Music. The Dylan reference is too easy; it goes much deeper than that.

  • i like the song but the comments are gay ass fuck

  • I first heard this song when i was high. Just as good sober.

  • @dupajuda Your cool.

  • i love this song, woaaah :)

  • Supergeiles Lied.

  • ce gars est un génie!!!

  • Officially, I now hate 1 person.

  • Fantastic, although I must say I prefer his voice live.

  • People dont know how to enjoy good music, this is beautiful.... raw and uncut.

  • i love this man :) he has the best music! <3

  • Incredible guitar playing

  • The term is used too much, but this is the new Bob Dylan, and dare I say it, even better.

  • @shwayjoe @shwayjoe I wouldn't say better yet. He hasn't made enough music for a long enough time to give him recognition like that. But i definitely agree that he easily has the potential to Better than Bob Dylan as time goes on. If he continues writing songs like these for years and years then I would say there's no competition, which is saying a lot because I think Bob Dylan is the best singer-song writer ever at this point. But he just may be passing the torch who knows!

  • @shwayjoe with a much better voice than Dylan

  • Stop the better than Dylan talk. PLEASE. This guy is awesome, I have been listening for a couple years. Obviously his major, (and maybe only) influence was Bob Dylan, without whom, there would be no Tallest Man on Earth. If Bob could still sing, and these songs being sung by him I think many would prefer. Hate to say it because I love this music, but my favorite songs are substitutes for Dylan. King of Spain, Wild Hunt, They even have Dylan lyrics in them. He likely learned English from music!

  • @Boot724 Dylan would have to have this guy play guitar for him though =P

  • @GuitarGroogns that be sweet but neither dylan nor kristian would want that.

  • the way he says "I guess I'm forever alone . . ." so beautiful

  • wow!!!!

  • Peculiar voice :)

    Great lyrics :)

    Very good player :)

  • Album of the year!!

  • How can this only have 48k views? I mean how???

  • I'm in love - pure BLISS

  • something awesome

  • ich liebe dich, melissa

  • "Well there's no real goodbye if you mean it"

His songs are so soft and heart warming. His voice only adds to the beauty of it.

  • It made everything clear to me now. Beautiful.

  • I have a hard time understanding the lyrics.

  • Heard this on an episode of Hung. Good song!

  • my english teacher thus far has always been playing music before class has started and i've really liked it but i havent really wanted to ask what song was playing but i saw this one today because he had the projector on.

  • ya he's the new bob dylan

  • So Fuc*ing Good :)

  • I am a big fan of this song !!

  • I love how his voice sounds like it would fit to a man in his late 50's with a beard and everything

Yet he looks quite young :L

    I love it :D

  • this guys reminds me of dylan but there's a uniqueness to his voice and a minimalistic impression to the music that makes it believable and beautiful

  • Thats a thinking mans voice.

  • i usually listen to metle and shit, but this is fucking awesome!

  • Ik luister dit voor Nico.

  • this is music

  • Ahh! I cant even explain how amazing this is through words. Im shaking.

  • @Peterson12311 I'm with ya bud! I've found his music is impossible to accurately describe to a friend who hasn't heard him yet. I just say: "Listen to this guy.." (wait) "..and YES i do understand when u say FOR THE FIRST TIME NOT JUST YOUR EARS ARE LISTENING, YOUR ENTIRE BODY IS." There's a magic about his songs you can't quite explain. There's nothing specific you can place. Looked at separately, his vocal style & guitar aren't one of a kind. But together!...HE JUST HAS THE GOOSE BUMP FACTOR!
